So you really really like Seiko On the linked article "40 (or 45) automatic watches under $500" about 5 were NOT Seiko and another 7 or 8 were under $500 $499 doesn't count unless your mom is paying the $50 in tax Also why so many watches with the spinning bezel? Note that you can also find some discontinued automatic Tissots such as the PR100 or old Couturiers that are either on sale or in clearing that use the powermatic 80 movement Can be difficult to come across at the $400-$500 price point but most success will likely be found in the January sales period

TBH, anyone interested in watches should try a vostok before they really go down the rabbit hole It is so unexpensive and durable If you are a tinkerer there are spare parts easily available Modding also really popular you can even get a kammandirskie for like 30 bucks (non-automatic)

on cheaper watches like say, around the £200 to £300 mark, is it normal to have slight quality control issues? I bought one seiko 5 green diver watch, and the bezel wasnt central so i took it back, got another, and the chapter ring wasnt in line with the 3,6,9,12 markers So i got a citizen instead, far better QC, BUT, the 12 marker isnt central May just try and unsee it to be honest, sick of going back to the AD to get another haha
