People tell me I'm crazy to want to help the homeless but I feel It's something I have to do being an ex-drug addict myself and homeless for more years than I care to remember and they say to do something your passionate about I watched my life slip by, before my eyes and realized I didn't have the knowledge or the money it takes to change my future but I think that this is what I was born to do, and until you walk in their shoes how do you know how to help them But all never know until I try

Thank you so much that was great information My name is Melody Viscariello I started a Non-profit called 100 Nonprofit Just Explant after I survived breast implant illness our mission is to help people medically get EXPLANT that can't afford it because they're so sick and also to help spread awareness and give people the tools to properly research the debilitating effects that breast implant illness could have if they did decide to put breast implants in their body we are actually having our first fundraiser in my community I live in a 55 and over community and what I'm hoping for this is to get some of the seniors together to do some speaking with me around towns and I think that's really important because we're finding that 16 and 18-year-old girls are getting their funding for their breast implants from gifts from grandmothers and grandfathers mothers and fathers sisters and brothers you name it and it's not that the family is trying to kill these girls it's just they do not know and they are not aware of the debilitating effects that breast implants have on your body and I'm happy to say since 2020 the FDA has black labeled all breast implants however if you do not have the awareness to look up Breast Implant Illness and you put them in for augmentation reason you might not be aware of the debilitating effects that your body can develope from them so please if you're reading this and you are thinking of having breast implants I'm not telling you not to I just want to give you the tools to make a informed decision where I was not given the tools to make an informed decision before I had my implants put in in 2015 🙏

Non-profit advisors always talk about 'building relationships with affluent donors' but I don't understand the process of doing that? Is it as simple as writing an email to these donors to introduce yourself or is there some standardised approach to forming a relationship with donor bodies?

I would agree with events It requires too much for most organisations however its always an option to encourage supporters to fundraise for you in an event they're enthusiastic to holdbrbrA word on government services procurement( eg your organisation helps alcoholics, you apply gov tender for services to help alcoholics)Relying on this is a surefire way to guarantee the future death of most organisations A bigger commercial organisations will undercut and you'll find yourself high and dry think several times before tying your mission with a funded service of local government It needs to be planned for very carefully if its not going to bite you on the ass later

Hi Amber, I'm working on building a children's museum in northern Israel (under served population and a new concept for this country--though there are many great museums) The thing I loved the most about this video is that doing a smaller fundraiser is, yes, a lot of work but it can also serve to get the word out (Plus, we're in early stages and I've been funding all the start up costs alone so far!) So would you say that a smaller fundraiser (getting $100-$1000 donations for example) is also a kind of marketing campaign? Thank you for putting this all out there!
