When your internet goes crap, the cellular back up in the base station kicks in (provided that you paid the $100 subscription) So no issue here

What is the point if the power wire is exposed? What I have done is mount the cameras inside facing outward so that it is easier to access power, hide the wires and almost eliminate someone disabling the unit! 🤔

Do any of yall think its dumb or smart to have a sticker outside of your house for a different kind of alarm system than you are using so it could still scare off the intruder or if they see the sticker they would try to hack the wrong type of security?

Hey, just checking in For anyone wondering what he means when he’s talking about the cellular/battery backup, that’s for the base security system If you have monitoring, it’ll still dial out to the police telling them there is a disturbance for the windows or the doors That being said, the cameras won’t record because they are powered by the wifi If you want a system with cameras that not only record during a power/wifi outage but actually can deter crime, look up Vivint or shoot me a DM @dansochill on Instagram or Twitter

Ring's major advantage is ease of use past this it's an inferior system that doesn't have the level of durability or reliability of a fully wired PoE system connected to NVR and NAS setup Setting up a system like that isn't easy, but it's way cheaper than the "best buy" brands and bulletproof Usually comes standard in 4k these days Ring and comparable brands only do 1080p just my two cents

I'm not impressed by this review at all!! You had not one thing you didn't like about this system?! If you listen carefully all the things wrong with this you said had to do with other providers ie internet fail and technology as a whole Not one downfall was with the system itself, kinda find that hard to believe you couldn't find one thing wrong 🤔🤔

Great video! You mentioned that if your internet signal goes out, you'd be put in a "difficult position" That is not 100 true The unit has a battery backup that allows the system to still call to the authorities if the power goes out The unit also has cellular backup as well, so if your internet goes out on its own OR if your entire power goes out, your security system will STILL be able to alert the authorities in the event your security gets tripped

High, with the integration to Alexa and Schlage Z-wave lock, I know that I can leave the house, lock the Schlage lock and it will arm the Ring alarm in away mode Can I do it the other way around, arm the Ring, Open the door, exit the house (during the arm delay) and close the front door Now I would like Ring/Alexa to automatically lock the door My current alarm system does it today Can the Ring /Alexa/Schlage combination do that?

We're starting to hit a point of wireless device saturation in a lot of average homes I've had to upgrade my wifi from a pretty nice but not too expensive wireless router to a Ubiquiti USG gateway and their AP pro It was an instant fix for the random device disconnections Everything is smart, everything is IOT I have 30 wireless devices right now and that number is only going to be going up

I don't get all these people bashing Ring NO security system is 100 effective For the price of one year of monitored service from ADT, you could buy a Ring doorbell and a few cameras for your house and have a system that is JUST as effective Most thieves are in and out within 60 secs so even a monitored system wouldn't have stopped them With Ring, I know when stuff is happening and I can call/text my neighbors (we have a very active neighborhood watch) and have them try to get a license plate OR engage the perp if they so choose to

Our ring security system w/ doorbell are smooth and is worth it IMO However im not planning on buying security camera from them, its 200/unit so overpriced I dont mind having 2 apps and is leaning toward setting up a wyze cam system inside the house

OK, I am a verified customer This is system is terrible Only good for a small studio apartment If you have a home or condo with an upstairs or down stairs forget it Weak wifi signal based, erratic sensors, and required 4 hours of Ring support and still not resolved Sorry, this is only a system for small spaces With now three wifi extenders ( not cheap btw) and now told I will have to await another five business days for a broken sensor, this is a joke system RUNNNNNNNN!
