thifty bill
The Park Work Stands that are outstanding are in the PRS series If you shop aggressively, you can find one of those for $200 or less On the home mechanic stands, Park is no better than many of the other stands out there I've owned dozens of stands over the years

I need one please send me

NickyNice
I feel like we all started with that cheap rack it did what we needed it to do for the time being, but after a while we realized there’s a reason these stands are so cheap Once we bought a nice stand, we question why we waited so long! Buy once cry once!
Comment from : NickyNice

Percy Faith
2 pipe clamps clamped to my radial arm saw table is my repair stand
Comment from : Percy Faith

Percy Faith
For the price Park Tools can't provide a handle bar hold rod?

I have a PCS-10 and do NOT love it This 102 looks like it has fixed my main gripe: the way the bottom legs secure and lock into position The PCS-10 relies on cheap steel "buttons" inside the tubes, which are a pain to use and have already broken (quickly replaced, good warranty service) But every time I set it up and take it down I regret buying it But yes: love that frame clamp
Comment from : fgiraffe

KH Wolter
Back when I worked in a bike shop, I had three pieces of rope hanging from the ceiling One was a loop that looped around the saddle, the other two had hooks bent from 3/16" or 1/4" steel rod for the handlebars Worked on thousands of bikes with it 45 years later, I still use the same setup Removing stubborn BB's, not an issue Clamp grabbing cables, nope Works amazingly well for what it is and how little it cost, and it stows away easily I'm considering a stand for mobile use, thought
Comment from : KH Wolter

Wanna Ride Bikes
I use a aldi rack and it has fails and good things but mostly I used it to fix other people bikes since it barley holds my bikes I want the park tool I used the ones they have at the shops the silver ones With wing adjustments and the clamp is like no other My friend has the one for the tool bench with that wheel holder as well now bench clamp has its boundaries it is still nice to have Still looking for a park tool stand
Comment from : Wanna Ride Bikes

mountaintruth1 deeds
No its not, I made my own off one of my welding table using a pipe clamp, cost 20$ you can also use a cable pull clamp welded up on a stand, I made one from work when I was 15, 42 years ago
Comment from : mountaintruth1 deeds

NovaPrime00
nice review, I could use a bike stand for occasional work

MARK Martini
Kev, how would you compare this to a Feedback Sports Sport Mechanic Repair Stand ?
Comment from : MARK Martini

Ripper 7620
I'm not sure why you're not getting 360 degrees of rotation off of the stand head, but I've been researching this stand, and it's supposed to rotate 360 degrees, it even states that on the box FWIW
Comment from : Ripper 7620

Thanks for having the other 2 stands to set up the framework/ context for the PCS 102 I’ve been using an improvised trunk rack for 3 decades of MTB fun whether it was hooked/strapped on a car trunk, mini-van rear hatch, or SUV hatch 31 years later , I bought my first ever bike stand My back was killing me after working on 2 (folding) bikes after having to bend/stoop/crouch/take a knee in order to wash the rear cassette(s) I cleaned up and youtube searched the best (for the price point and home use) The Park Tool PCS 102 ordered from local bike shop in Toronto Thanks for the super comparison and fabulous description Peace Be To Journey!brbrUpdate: brThe PCS 102 arrived and I deliberately used the Youtube Park Tools video on assembling this Repair Stand Their video was super easy to follow and everything came together smoothly Like the author said, I’ve waited for so long I’m super glad I have it after all this time I cannot add any more information to this super informative video That’s a compliment to the author Warmest thanks
Comment from : Barney Go

For Ever MTB
This 102 or the 92? Wich one js better?

Drew Jones
The pieces that ling at the legs and join the main vertical post a little way up, are they secured to a plastic bracket or is that aluminum?
Comment from : Drew Jones

Moto life always!
I just ordered mine the other day! I seen this on GMBN channel Stoked to have it!!
Comment from : Moto life always!

Deje Dejsson
it is very easy to modify the Aldi bike stand, just drill a 6mm hole through the plastic bracket and the 360 ° arm, put in a steel sprint and you have no problem with the arm twisting brI'm surprised none of the cheaper bike stands come with this solution
Comment from : Deje Dejsson

Marshall David WahlstromHelgren
I have the PCS-10 two years ago, and I do love it, but at some point I will get the PCS-102
Comment from : Marshall David WahlstromHelgren

Comment from : Bookoo c

Midget
I loved when you said aldi I was like I shop there I must be cool???!!
Comment from : Midget

Zac Jones
Only down side to this stand is heavy bikes or ebikes, the bottom clamp for the legs is very bad about failing/sliding up We use a secondary clamp above it when hanging heavier bikes 40 lbs +
Comment from : Zac Jones

Johannes Nilsen
well donebryou made many great pointsbrbut really you don't need to pivot the bike around horizontallybr8:28 are those black spacers plastic? has it developed paly or wear?brI have a PRS 32-2, but I have that for pure home wrenching, but this one definitely has incitements to it, I love that fishing reel style thing to adjust the clamp, lovely, it's a must on any repair standbrthis one is much better than what Topeak has to offer, IMO the Topeak Prepstand Elite is garbage, and overpriced, it has some of the issues, it too sags as those cheap repair stand, and the adjustment of angle is horrible, it has teeth, and a knob to clamp the bike down, awful, bot now the Pro model was updated with a handle there but still not great
Comment from : Johannes Nilsen

Dougs Scale Models
3 legs are more stable on uneven surfaces than 4 or more legs
Comment from : Dougs Scale Models

JohnEdwa
Something with three legs can't wobble because three points define a plane, you need four or more to be able to get one of them off the ground
Comment from : JohnEdwa

Comment from : Matthew Taylor

skinny
I bought this exact model a month ago It’s works really well Strong Quality I definitely recommend this stand to anyone needing a stand or needing to upgrade a stand The majority of my bike tools are from park tool Yes They are more expensive But, without question park tools are best
Comment from : skinny

Kristian Dawe
It looks like a great bike service stand, I've been considering one for a while now, it sure would beat the hell out of turning the bike upside down
Comment from : Kristian Dawe

jay mason
When are you going to finish the interior of the bike barn
Comment from : jay mason

bucket traveler
I desperately need a bike stand but haven't bitten the bullet and gotten one yet I know park tool stands were nice but they're expensive I guess you get what you pay for though The bigger tool shelf is an accessory, it's $30 on Amazon At my bicycle collective they used to have small tool carts on casters, I think I'd go that route now that I've tried it
Comment from : bucket traveler

jessejamesdaniels
I have a PCS-4 it still does the job like a ParkTool should!
Comment from : jessejamesdaniels

Michael cawley
With those park clamps there is a perfect tightness to where you can forcefully move it into any position you need and it will stay
Comment from : Michael cawley

Drews Enthused
I went with the feedback sports stand Buy once cry once, eh?
Comment from : Drews Enthused

Keith Schrack
Count on Park tools to be A) rugged, and B) expensive Scoring one at a reasonable price on the used market is a no-brainer My own PRS-13 (the pro stand with wheels) was essentially FREE, once you account for all the specialty tools included in the bargain It's downright indestructible Deals are out there
Comment from : Keith Schrack

Harry Grimley
Very nice review Thank you sir
Comment from : Harry Grimley

Trail Features
There are some tools where the "buy one cry once" rule is really strong Bike stands are one of them Feedback sports doesn't have a clamp system as clever as Park Tools, but for the cost they are super well built
Comment from : Trail Features

Jeffrey Potter
I think I'm sold! On the Aldi one for a price point 😀 Although For your new park tool tray You can just screw (or wire tie or through bolt etc) a larger tray onto the small one There seems to be enough of a platform for an augmenting 😀😇😎
Comment from : Jeffrey Potter

Kazak Thranduil
Park tools are always worth the money I brought the pro stand since its lighter and easy to transport
Comment from : Kazak Thranduil

Digi tal
I have a PCS9 which is bulletproofbrI see lot of convenience feature is added to the newer one
Comment from : Digi tal

NewYork Luis
I have a park tool stand at work It has a metal arm clamp but I would kill to have that clamp it would be so much easier to switch between different seat post sizes
Comment from : NewYork Luis

kunimiy212
Surprised you didn’t go for a bikehandbrDebating at 55lbs limit $125, 110lbs limit $170 or just don’t risk it and just buy once cry once and go park tools
Comment from : kunimiy212

Charles Holland
i got the benchtop model i wish i would have got this one

The bike shop owning friend I always mention is a Park Tool dealer also He said the same thing you said about the tools this stand comes with We didn't even take them out of the bag when he put his floor model together He actually just threw them away The tray works perfectly for the allen keys from park Tool with the blue plastic handles molded onto them The whole set fits in from 8-2 The whole tray is a little small for a "work space" though Forget trying to work on a bottom bracket putting any parts on that thing Better have a table close by I forgot what the model is called, but that stand can hold the e-bike version of the Stumpjumper without trouble I wouldn't try the monster ebikes you ride, but it's still impressive Is it worth the $19900? Depends on who you ask, I think The Auldi stand seems worth it's price, cause it works I think, for $19900, let alone $21000 the "workspace" should be largerbrLevo That's it The e-stumpy
Comment from : devildoglcpl 43942697

David Bronstein
That's a pretty pathetic tool tray
Comment from : David Bronstein

bubish
I have a PCS-10 And I spent $40 for it at a garage sale 😁brI also picked up the Aldi stand for like $20 or something I've got the same complaint about the front of the bike drooping, but for the price I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it
Comment from : bubish

Comment from : Blair Robinson

David Montreal
Nice vid kev
Comment from : David Montreal

tarstarkusz
It's got a lot of plastic for $200 Everything should be metal and the tool tray should be bigger and sturdier
Comment from : tarstarkusz

Mike
$20000 That dang blue paint is some spendy paint!!! Lol! Wish I could afford my bike and parktool tools
Comment from : Mike

tarstarkusz
Those tools were probably provided for retailers to put one together on the show floor Otherwise, it's kind of like a tool box that comes with really cheap assembly tools It's kind of in the product itself and its need to exist that the consumer is going to own the necessary tools Like why would anyone who wants a park tool bike stand need some basic allen wrenches and a regular wrench?
Comment from : tarstarkusz

isaac schwab
Hey it's been a while since you uploaded nice to see you back
Comment from : isaac schwab

Jac McCauley
Can you transfer the tool tray from your old Aldi stand over to the new one?
