It’s so interesting that your learning portugués como hispanohablante porque he oído que cuando personas que hablan portugués oyen a hispanohablantes pueden entender la mayoría de lo que se dicen Como he encontrado sin embargo es que si puedes hablar español y francés, you can practically understand all of the other Romance languages aside from Romanian

Can u give me any good portuguese vocab books i have looked at the barrons version but apparently it not up to the spanish standard version and ive looked at a few others but they don't seem to be any good

As a minimalist do you give away or sell your language learning books after you feel like you’ve gotten everything you can out of them? I have a bad habit of buying too many language learning materials Now that I’m finally using them I have a goal of using and passing on most of them It feels like a way of taking off the training wheels and not getting stuck in beginner land

I stumbled across your YouTube videos and I have to say, you have a very good skill for teaching, but what really caught my attention was the way you actually teach local accents Can I tell you how hard that is to find? I’m really looking forward to your lessons and videos Have you heard of Eldon Mirjah? He has a program called Gritty Spanish Another non-Native speaker who taught himself to speak like a native There is a need for these type of lessons Maybe you two could do something big Anyway, really love your videos, most lessons teach neutral Spanish or from Spain but not the Spanish people here in different parts of the US actually speak! I’m Mexican American, spoke Spanish as a child with my grandparents but once I moved away from them really fell off I can understand but it’s a challenge to speak without feeling the shame of not being as fluent as I should be I now live in Orlando and am finding that I’m picking up the Puerto Rican accent more because of my husband and his family Keep up the good work!

A really great book is called 501 Spanish verbs by Christopher Kendris This book is excellent to recommend to newly speaking Spanish learners I also highly recommend speaking Boricua by Jared Romey and the last one is la lengua Boricua by Raymond Giovanni Ramos Rosario

I have a question about spanish verbs Do you use the imperfect tense speaking such as comía or just the preterito such as comí? Likewise do you speak with the present progressive que estas haciendo or just the present que haces? I just want to learn the main tenses i will be speaking which i think should be past present future
