Thank you so much for this video and its really informative, and to your question thinking about stakeholder over stokeholder gives an extensive room for improving how to relate with every individual involved in the working process of an organization or project to achieve a more profound result and not only focusing on the investors alone Applying this approach will definitely impact the success of a project or an organization in the long run Comment from : Q-dee |

I would say, stakeholders rely on the success of the business They have a vested interest Stockholders don't have to care about the success of the business long-term as long as they get a significant return on their investment In most cases, stockholders sell shares and move on to the next best thing with little regard to how the company turned out For stockholders I focus on keeping their money invested long-term For stakeholders I focus on reminding them the value of what they have and reassuring them longevity Comment from : TheLove2share |

How do you determine a stakeholders goal? Comment from : Moustafa |
I think that the stakeholder is a more important person because a stakeholder is actually interested in the success of a business so they tend to help you and develop with the business, to where a stockholder is mostly interested in the profit but also helps financially, but i still think that the stakeholder is more important I myself would prefer being a stockholder because of the profits Comment from : Emdzejicek |
A shareholder is someone who owns stock in your company, while a stakeholder is someone who is impacted by (or has a “stake” in) a project you're working on i think a stakeholder is more important because it impacts the rest and they can protest and affect the company Comment from : Olivia Žnidarec |
A stakeholder is a party that has an interest in a company and can either affect or be affected by the business The primary stakeholders in a typical corporation are its investors, employees, customers, and suppliers Comment from : Soffika |
Stakeholder (corporate), a group, corporate, organization, member, or system that affects or can be affected by an organization's actions A shareholder is a person or institution that has invested money in a corporation in exchange for a “share” of the ownership Comment from : July Vaskova |
1)value of stakeholder - It is a business concept that companies use to create the best possible levels of return for their stakeholders br2)value of stockholder - Given to stockholders in a company based on the firm’s ability to grow profits over timebr3)What is a stakeholder - is a person or group with an interest in a enterprice br4)What is a stockholder - is a person, company or other entity that owns any amount of a company’s stock Comment from : Barbora Kuchtova |
A stake holder has a bigger impact because on the companies decisions because the company does not want bad reputation and problems But both of the roles are important for the company Comment from : Daniel Hristov |

Stakeholders thus include all the people and legal entities around the companybrShareholders are many times more interested in the long-term success of the company Comment from : Kateřina Žaloudková |

1 Stockholder is any person that is interested in financial success of organizationbr2 Shareholders are those people that are not interested only in financial success, but in overall success of an organization Comment from : Aneta Matejovie |
I mean both stakeholders and share/stockholders are essential Stakeholders because they are the infrastructure of the whole business stakeholders are clients, workers, or people that are in any way affected by the business and shareholders because they supply the cash flow to the company So yes I do see some value in prioritizing stakeholders rather than stockholders, because if your stakeholders are not happy your company might fail and go bankrupt, so to avoid that from happening you should always try and keep both sides satisfied Comment from : Dominik Vít |
Stockholders are shareholders but it is not every time the same Stockholder is basically any person that is interested in financial success of organization, it is investor Shareholders are those people that are not interested only in financial success but in overall success of an organization, this incudes many more types of people This has a part in the fact that shareholders have many times more interest/need for the company/organization to be successful for longer time Comment from : Simon Zajíček |
A shareholder owns part of a public company through shares of stock, while a stakeholder has an interest in the performance of a company for reasons other than stock performance or appreciation These reasons often mean that the stakeholder has a greater need for the company to succeed over a longer term Comment from : Daniela Szabados |
Shareholders are always stakeholders in a corporation, but stakeholders are not always shareholders A shareholder owns a stake in a public company through stock, while a shareholder has an interest in the company's performance for reasons other than stock performance or price appreciation These reasons often mean that the stakeholder has a greater need for the company to succeed in the long term Comment from : Amazing Good |

Hey there, this was great I am a secondary school teacher looking to teach my 13 year olds what a stakeholder is and why we need to know as designers I think this video is a bit too much info for them, but it is a great starting point for me to figure out better ways to teach them If you ever decided to make a "dummed down" version of this (3 minute max length!!) please let me know! Comment from : Shannon Freestone |

A very good explanation, I also had little knowledge about stakeholders, but now that you've explained, it is much clear that, there will be no successful business or there wil be no good results without a good deal stakeholder Comment from : Vuyiseka Jikwana |
I enjoyed watching your video as part of my resources for my class I now know the importance of the stakeholders and the value of maintaining a relationship with the stakeholders in the organization both internal and external Interestingly enough I never considered the media a stakeholder until this video I do believe that many organizations focus much more on stockholders instead of stakeholders who seem to be as equally important for the sustainability of the business Comment from : Tye Webb |
The question is one of difficulty It’s difficult because, based on the definition provided, a stockholder is a stakeholder A companies financial success is important to every stakeholder, however, the solutions to a problem may be reliant on the kind of stakeholder that would be most involved/impacted by the solutions brbrThe value I see in thinking about stakeholders over stockholders (with the above caveat in mind) is that when implementing solutions to a problem, capital used in addressing the problem may be secondary to the solution itself Opening a wider variety of options in how the problem is addressed Where as consideration of stockholder, over other stakeholders needs, would likely have more monetary and solution (type) constraintsbrbrI’m very new to all of this and see you still actively check your channel, let me know your thoughts regarding my answer if you would be so kind to Comment from : Jackson Burnett |
stakeholder as you said is more general meaning than the stockholder Stockholder is one main point in the stakeholder We cannot deny the important of stakeholder because we live in a community A business organization did not stand alone in doing business activity For example, an organization who manufacturing cars to people need is connecting with Department of Road Transport (government), the business must comply with the rules by that Department to ensure safety to the people who buy their cars Thus, an organization must have their CSR (Community Social Responsibility) activities Comment from : Mohd Aidil Azhar |

For me a stakeholder ,example a customer group adds value to the Organization over shareholders If my organization can't make the customers contented with the product or services, the organization will have no business ultimately we will let down our shareholders as we are not going to make any profit Comment from : Rachana Surana |

Thanks for your presentation It was amazing I was really confused about what a stakeholder really is and you opened my mind Now I realize that I had a correct sense of the true meaning of a stakeholder and did not know it, because I have always worked this way as a leader It is a difficult task because many times, people in organizations refuse to believe that everyone has an important role in the project Thank you again Comment from : Marcos J Scholz |

Stakeholders are creating monopolies, and forcing America in to communism The billionaire elites are at the top of every industry So they managed to force operations under their power They are destroying competition, which is makes a company want to make a better product and create new ideas They serve the people Without competition we are controlled CEOs are being tricked in to fling i to the pray of the evil communist Stakeholders/Billionaire Elites that want World Power Comment from : Betsy Ross |

As a construction project manager, I used to see my clients as the most important stakeholders and I would put the contractors at the bottom of the list or maybe not even there at all I guess my approach was more of a project manager than a business owner After watching this video I can clearly see where I have been acting accordingly and I haven’t My relationship with the building Department and Planning departments have been important but again, not my main stakeholders I can see where I can implement my project managements skills by acknowledging who my stakeholders are for each project Comment from : Jenifer Sanchez |

Hey Alex, this video is fantastic The value that I see in the stakeholder versus the stockholder is that the stakeholder theory is wholistic Of course I have to think about the investors and external members but now I have to thinki about EVERYONE touched by the organization and/or project It’s really big picture thinking For example: I am currently writing a case study about a commemorative plaza we built in Memphis, Tennessee The plaza is connected to the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr and the 1968 Memphis Sanitation Workers strike When I got the call to participate in this, I had a lot going on and jumped on board as the commissioned poet; a purely creative role As I began to uncover the stakeholders: government, external members and others, I saw how I was standing right in the middle of this $16 million dollar project but was invisible Hindsight being 20/20, I am now able to see the true value of the stakeholder theory in relation to this project It’s quite amazing because now I am using this case study to build my very own consulting business with tried and true tools Thanks so much for sharing this Comment from : Steve Fox |

I think stakeholder has a hard impact on any organization over stockholders, althought stockholder (capital of an organization )has also an important role in any organization but beyond the capital, if an organization is not having an excellent stakeholder it can't achieve it's goals Comment from : JATIN |
Why is the definition always TL;DR (too long, didn't read)? Why not just say "Everyone involved in the project" lolololololol Comment from : Batman |
This is more of this 'shared economy' communist nonesense, basically you give out shares to more people, corporations think if more groups have shares they can do what they want, its like a form of legal bribing, hand out shares to anyone they want to consider as stake holder, anyone influential Comment from : D Man |
