You understand that the less time you spend squabbling over a few dollars here and there the less time you will sit on inventorypeople come to you for the goods because you are consistently not shrewd Comment from : Resident Raccoon |
in 1994 we were buy comic in low price😢😢 Comment from : rahul |
Love the channel Must say, I would never pay anywhere near the prices set for Hawk and Dove I guess there must be some diehard fans out there, because I just couldn't pull the trigger on that book for more than $800 - no matter what the grade was Yes, I'm also a curmudgeon about Mark Jeweler "variants" and newsstand copies - advertising and UPC corner boxes are never going to make me pay more for a book Comment from : David Allen |
where do you sell your comics? mainly instagram or ebay? in person sales Comment from : Tristan Rujano |

Wow! My favorite video! Go collect nice place to judge prices! You sound very fair with prices I just hate the word “Firm”! I think there’s always wiggle room even if it’s just $5 James keep them coming! Comment from : Greg Wait |
I look at how often something sells on eBay too Like that infinity inc book Sure someone may have paid $8 and $15 but over what time period? A month? Several months? If those are the only two sales in over a month I consider it still a $2 book if I want to move it Comment from : Eric Williams |
now take those prices, what would you expect a comic book store to offer? Do you find doing claim sales are where it's at or???? I am trying o figure out the next iteration of my hobby, selling to start moving up Comment from : Dan Doty |

That was great James, a range of interesting comics and lots of practical advice I think that having three resources to refer to makes a seller's prices very fair I would add one more thing, which you briefly touched on at the end: if you pay very little for a comic, don't try to gouge the last cent out of the person you sell it to - selling it for say 85 of FMV will still get you a nice profit while creating trust and goodwill, and you can't put a monetary value on those Comment from : Charlie Dogg |
Great video 👏👏👏 Comment from : Robin Comics |
Thanks for the fun video Comment from : Thomas Latimer |

Remember the days when we used to go by InstinctIntuitionSpider Sense while buying specific comic books Now there's all kinds of "resource materials" involved Comment from : The Quiet Revolution |
Good stuff That pricing looks spot on and very fair The Machine Man issues are very often overlooked Not too long ago, I found the complete mini-series, high grade, and got it for around 8 bucks All 4 were also Mark Jewelers variants Comment from : Kelvin Nobles |
What platform are you pricing these to sell on? Facebook, eBay, Instagram, YouTube, etc? Comment from : Keith Kovalic |
Still kinda hard to decipher and fully base the "FMV" of slabbed comics I have been able to score many slabbed 96/98s WELL below FMV in the wild The flipside is those same "level" of graded comics have cost me WAAAAY over FMV online I pay the "over" only when it is a slab that I need to complete a set or an autographed copy of a key Comment from : iNeverHad Mercy |
