So I have a question, I'm in a dilemma I just got accepted for federal corrections and the sheriffs I know no matter what I would stay in corrections I would like to be a special agent for another federal agency if I choose to stay in the system However I'm also not sure which one of the two I should pick What are some of the pro and cobs of each if you have any? In Slovakia (Europe) at State Police, we have lower budget than city police, more jobs to do than them, and poor vehicles and uniforms and basically everything even salary So be happy that in your city police you have one guy whom it takes weeks to repair car becouse in our country it takes whole team months to repair a car that has scratched paint or flat tires or any other problem well, i was born in a wrong country i guess

What do Officers classify Constables as? I am so confused by this entity They are like independent "Sheriffs" that are elected But again they are independent it seems and answer to no one? Except maybe a Judge or hering officer If I were to run into trouble these are the guys/gals I would have an issue with trying to pull me over or serve me The come off from descriptions as Joe Tuffman some "tough Guy" citizen trying to pull citizens arrest all day Are they police per se or just temporary citizens deputized? If anyone watches this in 2021 and beyond First off all, hello future people!brSecondly, don’t go City Cop in big cities, in The Silicon Valley or New York for example, basically any agency with 500+ the city route will be TOO much politics and chain of command ass kissers In the Sheriff’s the only ‘politician’ and law is your sheriff and a more straight forward chain of command You may THINK you want to go city based on TV, movies etc brBut you will have more duty options and more freedom once your training is done (usually in corrections) when you hit the streets as a patrol deputy The county will have a higher budget too (at least where I’m at) and thus get better equipment But in the end, it’s your choice what sort of work environment you’re looking for, and your ambitions brSheriff is just the safer choice for most places and people Regardless, best of luck to the future officers and deputies of this nation! 🇺🇸

Where I live it’s a very small town with 400 people It’s just 1 car in a 1 car garage behind the post office The “station” is one room in the fire station Both fire station and police depart is all volunteers
