I had local bike shop fix my chain and thru missed the jockey wheel so onky half the derailleur was contacting the chain!😅 😅😅😅 i bought a Ragley big al 20 definitely don't sell that in Walmart!

About the bike not "being made for off road use" I think it's just for insurance purposes I got a bike from Costco and assembled it myself, it said the same thing I think it's bc most people that get a MTB from Walmart, haven't MTB'd before, therefore, they don't want you to get hurt and sue them

Flat out, it's a decent bike I have everythi g from $1200 Specialized MTB to this bike Its absolutely perfect for family rides around town and little bike paths Now, scale a mountain? No God no but you could take this bike around and abuse it as stock for years For the price, its a great bike But nothing for massive jumps and 90 degrees

You do realize all money spent at Walmart goes directly to China And when they come to town if an employee needs to see a doctor the store manager has a stack of forms for your local clinic Why because (1) shit wages (2) no benefits They cost us millions a year So how much money did you save ? Man, I grew up on Walmart bikes until one day my grandfather went to the local dump/trade center and he got me an aluminum mongoose 21 speed and it has been the best bike I've ever owned and ridden (rode? Idfk) it got hit by a truck 2 years ago and I just recently parted it back together for transportation to work Thing is amazing and couldn't ask for more (except thicker tires to prevent death wobble down hills)

While I have a chain breaker, I have found that if the chain has a master link I can usually remove it with a pair of needle nose pliers This method may not work on narrower chains though

I've owned a few Walmart bikes I learned pretty quick that you don't want to ride them home You need to pick them up with a vehicle and take it home or to a bike shop to give it a good once over before you ride it Here the bikes are assembled by local bike shops but they aren't paid very much per bike so they have to do a bunch of them really fast I have seen this bike too at my local Walmart as well and am very curious about it

I did buy a couple Walmart bikes to get to work in my life About $180 each And my 3rd one $250 still riding it Very pleased with them I don't make much money but a still respect the nicer bikes Just can't afford them My latest bike is the lightest one too My favorite so far
