In a sort of similar situation myself Single mom of two kids with not much of a support system Next year my daughter needs to go to school all day but I think I am going to have to quit my job because the hours i work now I won’t be able to drop her off at school I live in a rural area so resources are limited I am starting up some online services but every is over saturated and people don’t want to pay a decent wage, i will probably sell my house at the end of the year and move up state to live with my dad because I can support my family I feel like I failed at life

What if students could sue their school for price gouging on education? Rather than loan forgiveness by the tax payers? brThe graduate doesn't feel like the university lived upto it's alluded to promise of a better skills in the market place to earn a living You'd probably need a law passed to allow something like this Make these billion dollar endowment universities pay for the overcharged degrees

I think this story is so relevant to all educators out there whether they teach Sp Ed or General Unfortunately, as educators we want to work, we want to love, we want to pour out our lives for the children they teach Unfortunately, most educators work between 50-80 hours a week and only get paid for usually 37-40 hours Always exceptions also like during those times where the gradebook closes teachers and educators bring grades and paperwork home during the weekend working from dawn to dusk in order to make sure all the documentation has been completed for these blessed children they are responsible to teach, educate and inspire There is some dysfunctionality in pay wage gap for educators My prayers go out to your sister

Why on earth did she have a child when she really couldn't even support herself on the jobs she was doing, both as an aide and as a special ed teacher? Do these people think that somehow, magically, it will all work out??? Her situation is pretty much hopeless, and both she and her child will be living in poverty for life The suggestions provided to her are totally inadequate, given a full-time job AND a difficult, special needs autistic child to care for, AND a home to take care of Even if she COULD make another $200/month, her monthly health ins premium annual increase will probably eat all of that up

Jessica could also be an advocate for exceptional children by making suggestions on their IEP's (Individualized Education Program) that receive public education I needed help many years ago before educators had a understanding of what Dyslexia was and how to teach & implement that into my child's plan He didn't learn how to read until 6th grade
