I got a 1976 quarter in my change from a sports memorabilia store which was ironically my first stop after leaving a coin store near Virginia Beach I first noticed it because it looked like a proof Still have it but haven't added it to my stack because I'm not 100 that it's one of the 40 ones and even if it is 90 is really the minimum I'm interested in Comment from : c |

I’ve been looking for one of those bastards for years now because I’m a cashier and I have never found one! I found a 1942 d nickel the other day and it pissed me off! The one minted 1942 that wasn’t changed to the new silver alloy yet for that year But a few days ago I found a 1951 d Roosevelt dime so that was a cool find And my first piece of constitutional I’ve ever found It’s not easy these days hunting wild constitutional silver Comment from : Tyler Fortin |

When I was a kid I collected bicentennial quarters and probably have like 400 or so Comment from : Bento Box |

🔥me☝️I don’t collect coins, or precious metals Yet…This channel is fascinating I’m having so much fun watching these over the last few days since I got it randomly suggested to me So it was this video that I realized really how brilliant this relationship is between the store and the UTube channel Any time I see a big channel with millions of subscribers and they try to film inside a store and the store says no I’m not talking about Walmart pranks, just like this channel but say a car guy who buys stuff from the auto parts store in his hometown all the time and they say no That just seems so dumb, your loosing how much free advertising for your business? Anyway…fun new channel and I’m pretty sure I’m going to start looking at silver and gold in a whole different way from now on ✌️💚🖖 Comment from : Puffer TV |

What a joke Refiners still take 40 half dollars, it's really easy to recover the silver and copper Put the half dollars in nitric acid that's bought in large lots so its much cheaper, about 10 to 15 dollars per liter it can get even cheaper from there Dissolve the coins and filter, than add HCL to the solution which will create silver chloride, process that into metal and you have your silver To the solution Remaining add angle iron the copper will be pulled out of the solution on the angle iron in crystals FIlter and wash Easy, you also have cupelling that will work just fine Comment from : Chosen1One |

What about the 1 oz silver dollars from china Comment from : Tom Mooe |
I like the war nickels and found it interesting and accurate the owner mentioned that it was actually the work horse and would buy a lunch, despite silver war nickels only minted for 3 years I think the silver dollars were more like $50 dollar bills and $100's especially when a days labor earned a man only $030 on average in the mid 1800s Comment from : tony alba |

The reason the Redbook is higher is because inflationbrThose coins been sitting on the shelf for years, five years ago that $80 Morgan silver dollar was worth $60 in the redbook now the sticker price seems low because it hasn't sold That's just a t my opinion, and I've never opened a redbookbut it would be interesting to see how the prices change Remember, these guys don't make money selling $80 coins once a year They make money on dummies trading in their silver change or gold Comment from : ThisIsSolution |

During the last great silver run, when silver price was going to an all time high, I sold just about all my war nickels for over 250 apiece I made a small killing that day Now I’m waiting for the next big silver price so I can sell my 40 Kennedy halves, except for the 1970 datesbrIn regards to pricing coins, especially Morgans and Peace dollars the best reference is the Grey Sheet This is made primarily for coin dealers but you should look into buying one, even if it is a few months old They give you an idea of what dealers pay and thus give you an idea of what you should pay Comment from : kconnorx5 |
I’ve gone Harry’s shop many times He’s friendly and very knowledgeable brUnlike few snobbish shops near my area Comment from : Burden |

It's useful to have fractionals, we're nickels are good for small trading I've grown fond of Canadian junk silver at 80 20 copper I like the alloy better brQuick mathbrA 140 in American junk silver is about an Oz 6 quarters makes a fat ounce (a bargaining point for trading) brA 170 in 80 canadian junk silver is an oz with all quarters making a heavy oz brA dollars worth of war nickels, 20 coins, is a heavy oz 10 coins for half, 5 for a quarter oz etc brbrMany Farmers know this and will trade you food for real money It can be a pain trying to math 35 80 90 coins on the spot so hopefully that'll help somebody Hopefully you won't actually need to know it but we'll see, 🙏🏼😔 🥬🍅 Comment from : Don-T-Ripfüller |

ALOT OF GREAT INFO THANKS Comment from : James Real |
Of the roughly 100 different dates/mints in the Morgan dollar series, I can easily remember when nearly half of them could be bought in UNCIRCULATED BY THE ROLL, SOLID DATE AND MINT (20 pieces per roll) for under $200 a roll as late as 1977, just before all of the certified grading began starting with ANACS Those were the days as so many rolls were still not 'cherry picked' and they were at least MS 60, so one could sometimes get real nice pre 1905 Morgan dollars for as little as $10 each The 1921 P dates could be had for $140 a roll I regret not saving a few old Coin World or Numismatic News papers with those ads selling solid date uncirculated rolls at that time and the low prices, but didn't want to clutter up the house with papers Oh well, it's only money!!!! Comment from : Stanley Kijek |
I thought it was illegal to destroy US currency how are these refineries melting down 90 silver coins? Comment from : Jason Grove |
These guys are awesome Comment from : SedateSix |
Yeah, the problem is that, sure, you can buy them without a premium or a low premium, but you can't sell them for even spot The whole "silver is silver" concept doesn't work The silver in a 35 nickel or a 40 Kennedy is NOT worth as much as an equal amount of silver in pre-1965 quarters and dimes and halves because no one will buy them for the equivalent price per ounce Comment from : Rufferto |
I'm shocked that you've never seen the Ike's, and other 40 sets! Like the Bicentennial set, and the other mint sets I would have thought at this point you would have seen at least a few examples Comment from : American Patriot |

I used to get half dollars from the bank before the coin shortage in 2020 Every once in a while I would find some silver One time I got really lucky and found a silver bicentennial among about 20 other bicentennials that were not silver Really cool/rare stuff Comment from : Nicholas Guerrera |
