Hello all! A subscriber has suggested that the Adies 'Tritium' watch might not actually be tritium! The watch has 'tritium gas luminous' printed on the dial but the listing refers to them as 'luminous quartz tubes' Perhaps it is tritium, perhaps is too cheap to be true? I'm going to pick one up regardless as $25 is still dirt cheap for a chunky, military style watch, but just to give you all the warning there is doubt If anyone has actually bought one and can clarify, please feel free to comment! I recommend Ben Nevis, i put it to test, one year after ( grease, concrete, dust, etc) still works like a charm Looks good , great price and you can save your more expensives ones from any abuse

Thanks for the tip on the Steeldive 1996 I wore and loved an SKX009 daily for 7 years and since I work in field service, it got beat to death At the end, the Hardlex was badly scratched and cracked through from the 9:00 to 12:00 positions The rotating bezel had been frozen in place for years and the Pepsi colors had faded away almost completely The war worn jubilee still fit me like a glove but the folding clasp hinge would come apart from time to time and I'd have to fiddle it back together and give it a squeeze with lineman pliers When the movement started to stop (Ha!), I sold my old beater on ebay to a moder who wanted the case and internal Seiko parts to support his evil modding plans Good, I say more power to him! Since SKX values are now inflating like Bitcoin, I got enough cash into PayPal to buy a Steeldive 1996 and have 100US left over I sold my tired SKX for about what I paid when new back in 2013 I never expected that, if I'm being honestbrbrOnly time will tell if the Steeldive will hold up as well (or perhaps better) than the SKX So far I can say that the included Jubilee has the same jingle-jangle sound, fit and feel, and similar cheapo pressed clasp, that I loved so much on the SKX BTW, I always appreciated the dark Navy dial on the 009 that would show it's deep blue to me when the sun caught it just right While not quite the same, the AR coating on the Steeldive's sapphire crystal will glint blue at me in a way that reminds me of my old friend

I just wanted to caution anyone who plans to use Aliexpress It is a very crappy platform The jist of there services is that there the middle man between international sellers and buyers But they literally have no customer service department If you run into a snag, you are on your own, and they will favor the seller I repeat 0 customer service department So if something goes wrong you'll be on you own On top of this the app is too complicated, even to do basic things like change tracking number DONT USE ALIEXPRESS

Just received the Adies Tritium, definitely NOT Tritium, but otherwise my only catch is no screw down crown, hence 50m WR I got the rubber strap version, and it looks pretty good for such a cheap watch Had to pay an additional £8 duty, but still worth it Thanks Jody!

I find it funny you can get watches with sapphire crystal and or ceramic bezels for under $100 but the big hitters in the watch industry like Seiko you'd have to pay $1000 for a Sapphire crystal or about the same for ceramic bezels Shows how little these materials are actually worth if some unknown brand can offer them for very little but the big boys treat them like their gold
