I giggle at the fact that they apologize for using a 50 We use $100 notes to go places just to get change We also have the $1 in a note, and to be honest, we still mint the $500 and $1000 notes At least they are out there if we don't mint them anymore I've only seen them at the bank when I asked to see them Our Quarters are absolutely ridiculous with the 50 states and now other things on them Geez!

As a teenager, I visited Britain in 1970, which was before the conversion to the decimal pound In those days, there were 240 (old) pence to a pound, which became 100 new pence in the new decimal pound Thus, a shilling was 12 old pence or 5 new pence A "bob" was half a shilling, (or six old pence), and there is no modern British coin in this denomination (In the movie, "The King's Speech", the term "one bob" is mentioned more than once) Also, sadly, (in my opinion), a "crown" was 60 old pence or 1/4th of a pound, which would be 25 new pence, but there is no modern British coin that is equivalent to a crown Oh well

I believe a "bob" is a pound sterling, am I correct? I visited Britain as a teenager before the switch to the decimal currency There were 240 pennies to the pound, with shillings being 20 to the pound, so 12 pennies to a shilling (Nowadays, a shilling would be the modern 5 new pence) A 1/2 shilling was a six pence, a 1/4th shilling was a thropense (?) ie 3 pennies, with 1/6th shilling being tupence, ie 2 pennies There was also a "haypenny" which was 1/2 of a penny A Crown was 5 shillings or 1/4th of a pound (which we Americans might call a "quarter")

Well in South Korea we just have 4 denominations of banknotes and coins too brFor coins there a 500, 100, 50 and 10 ( a 10 won coin is like a 1p or even a 1/2p people always throw it away) brWhole for notes we’ve got 50k, 10k, 5000 and 1000 won brAside that we have kinda called supyo it’s like a cheque but kindle diff Cus you can go pay for service or goods directly on supermarket cashier compare to a bank cheque that you need to visit a bank just to incash it
