As a solo game dev who worked on my indie game for the past 16 years, and only recently started trying to talk about my game a week ago, This video is giving me hopes that my game will start accumulating a fanbase gradually over the years, and getting sales off of my game when it's released, and turning game dev into a full time job! I'm not there yet, but I'll try to get there! Comment from : Stellar Roots |

number 1 rule to remember is game development takes timebrbrI started writing game ideas when I was 18 and didn't start working on a project till I was 23 I started on game maker 2 and switched to unreal after months of development time yeah it slowed my development time but I'm getting better results anyone can do it, you just have to commit and take the time just believe in yourself Comment from : Alex |
Great advice and you don't just want an audance you want a comunity some Youtubers get 1 millions of veiws a video yet have next to no subs Plenty of money but if they are followed if at all not for them but maybe a single series they make or loosely at best So yeah and normally you don't get to choose what you get But unless you absolutely need the money you normally want the comunity and the money can always come later Comment from : Green&Blue Productions |

Any aspiring gave devs watching this and want an idea for video games to make Here's a small list I have made of games I and many others would LOVE to play but honestly cannot play because theres no games out there that fit into these categoriesbrbr1 A dungeon crawler/rougelite Theres so few dungeon crawling video games like honestly the biggest two right now are path of exile and diablo and both of those are A Really old and B Ridiculously easy especially POE Would love a game with a decent story that atleast motivates me to keep playing where I go into an ever shifting dungeon exploring and gathering new non magic and magic items as I go most importantly it needs to be fast paced like Im not saying break neck speeds but slow paced Rougelites are so boring Think combining Moonlighter, Hades, Risk of Rain 2 and D&Dbrbr2 FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I NEED A PIRATE GAME I need something that is basically just a better version of puzzle pirates combined with uncharted waters online Why I like that game is that it was the perfect pirate game 1 Combat was OPTIONAL you can easily escape combat with your hoard of loot and go and sell and make money and most importantly wont be getting griefed once you are in port, it boggles my mind that I can pull into port in SOT and whilst offloading my chests ONE BY ONE AND EXTREMELY SLOW some randos can roll up blast my ship and take my shit like honestly WTF 2 Puzzle pirates solved the issue of not having anything to do whilst onboard your ship if you werent the one steering and thats with the puzzle games they were engaging and helped the ship it also prevented players from going AFK and those who did could/would be kicked for not contributing by the captain It also expanded to the mainland and gave you stuff to do Where they went wrong is overly monetizing the game and more importantly the things you could buy gave you an advantage in the game as well as very very few updates let it die Comment from : Papa Salvo |
What's the generator at 1:40 called? Comment from : Guzel |
Qaulity stuff as usualy This gives me hope, I'm not there yet, but I will get there if I keep at it and just keep putting my work out there for people to play and see It's less about money though, and more about getting more people to play and enjoy my games Even If I don't make it though, I still have fun doing it Comment from : GingerNingerish |
