I thought 416R was soft, and that's why most, if not all, aftermarket Glock barrels that use 416R use 1:16 twist instead of Glock's recommended 1:10brFurthermore, nearly 100 of the sales on barrels are 416R, and I assumed those were reasons 416R was inferior to 4140/4150 brI notice the same trend with slides brI also thought 17-4 SS was also a downstep from 4140/4150

I had issues with my Tread after 3 mags,trigger reset problemSent it back,got it back, have run more than 2k rounds through it…no problem Flawless like butter brI’m kind of a slacker when it comes to maintenance, couple drops of oil instead of total breakdown Runs like a tank

Confused with the S&M being removed first I know it's like the "cool gun guy" thing to not like S&W M&P guns but it doesn't really make sense for a new buyerbrThe S&W comes with an MBUS sight, so you'll already spend less than the other guns on the table without buying a red dot The average or even intermediate shooter will never shoot enough rounds to wear down that barrel eitherbrbrThe others all need sights So you'll end up spending just as much anyways on the cheaper ones (Cheapest also needs a stock, that thing is terrible) Also, the accuracy of the Sig is unparalleled with its barrel out the box, but should mention that the handguard on that thing NEEDS to be replaced as soon as buying, it will heat up far too fast on a range day, that is NOT new shooter friendly

For any real life combat application having the flip up sights are essential Running an optic with no irons is not smart The MP would be my first choice add an aimpoint and replace the hanguard for sure Very common setup for police

All these rifles are great options, except the Sig I don’t trust Sig products, and with the other available options there is no reason to even consider a Sig The best rifle in this group for the value is the Radical RF-15, hands down You can find them for $399 all day long

I’m new to guns - is it worth buying a high-quality expensive gun that you’re paying a premium for in whatever fashion bc it’s more likely to hop, if not gain it’s value? PSA makes the best budget ARs hands down You can even get them cheap as $400 if you buy the upper and lower separately when they're on sale, and you can get a FN CHF barrel and a rifle that rivals bcm/dd for just about 1k with their sabre series

Ar15’s are so easy to replace the barrel that I always considered that a non issue If you shoot enough to wear out even an unlined or untreated barrel you’ve spent thousands of dollars and can justify buying a new one to put on in your garage in an hour or two

Happy with my Andersons, no problems at all Machining marks on BCGs and inside of receivers make no difference in performance Cheapo clamshell hand guards are extremely lightweight and do a great job of heat dissipation Maybe I'm old school or a minimalist, but give me the basics such as iron sights, mil-spec trigger, OEM stock etc and I'm a happy guy

Solid options but I have a bias towards palmetto or bear creek AR's for the entry level price point Usually come with nicer furniture at a cheaper price point and are accurate enough that the extra money you could spend on an AR can go towards ammo

I built my radical with a Romeo and Juliet red dot and 3x magnifier, GBRS sling system, ambi BCM charging handle, BCM vert grip and Qzark rail light for $1200 Runs great!

My MP 15 came with a crimson trace red dot and a picatiny gas block Love that thing! Yes optic got tossed for a better one and that plastic handguard had to go immediately for a cabine length quad But i trust my life with that rifle

Proprietary AR10s --15s, stay away from them, period With any AR15, you can upgrade them to a better BCG-"LM&T" ($520), but they are worth every PENNY! Upgrading to a better barrel by "Criterion Barrel", or Ballistic Advantage barrel

My MP15 is 6k round in with no issue but I have changed the BCG to nickel boron and I have a PSA upper I keep as a spare the PSA is 115" so it doesnt get shot as much

I started out with AR's about 7-8 yrs ago Took a class at my LGS on building lower receiversbrStarted buying kits from PSA (Palmetto State Armory)and built probably 10-12 in 556x45 and a couple in 762x39(including AR pistols) Bought an ATI 9mm ar pistol and an Armalite AR10brBut as far as AR "15's", I'm perfectly happy with EVERYTHING I'm bought from PSA (including my Dagger)brI had "1" problem with a PSA upper about 3-4 yrs ago and it was handled quickly and professionally They took care of everything and I had it back in "6" days I consider that "Great Service" Veteran owned and operated and committed to putting quality firearms in the hands of as many Law Abiding American Citizens as possible You can put together a PSA AR for about $500 But I am starting to pick up a couple of Nickel Boron BCG'sbrAnd personally, "I" prefer the A2 front sight post There's NO Prolem running an optic plus you have the bayonet lug (I have bayonets)

I got the M400 Tread 3 years ago Fantastic rifle and the ambi features are great as I'm blind in my right eye The handguard is something I replaced I swapped it with the 15" Sig handguard with mlok/heat relief slits down the entire length as opposed to the factory handguard which gets really hot after 4 or so mags Aside from that, a great entry level AR It's a very accurate and reliable firearm

I shopped for a while before buying the Zion-15 I shot a lot of rifles at the range before choosing it, but when I picked it up and shouldered it, I knew I wanted it After firing a few mags through it, I was completely hooked I put an O ring between the upper and lower, and now it shoots like a much more expensive rifle A friend with a Daniel Defense AR-15 was blown away when he shot the same group with my Zion at 100yds
