I tried Blue Label once from a small sampler bottle I am relieved that I didn’t buy a full bottle I think it’s overrated and not worth the money, unless you’re buying it as a gift or to impress someone

Just had blue label for the first time thanks to a variety pack, otherwise I never would have been able to taste it Honestly I’m pretty pissed JW 18 tastes and smells miles better and it only costs a single Benjamin I’ve had mid tier $50 dollar bottles that are on par with blue, yet buying a bottle of blue will set you back nearly $300 where I live If it hadn’t been for the variety pack I would have had to justify buying a $300 bottle of whiskey only the realize I could have gotten something WAY better for a third the price or something equal to it for a 6th the price When you buy JW blue all you’re buying is a pretty colored bottle and bragging rights that you can afford massively over priced whiskey

i am by no means an expert but I do love how easy drinking this whiskey is and to me that's what I look for I've tried a good bit of different whiskeys and this is still one of my favorites by far, in my opinion if I want crazy heavy sharp tastes and flavors I look for that in food

Finally had some Blue today in my advent calendar Supremely disappointed, but it's exactly what they said On the nose I was excited by it and even more looking forward to tasting it On the palate it was boring It was safe Most people who like scotch will have no problem drinking this as it's a perfectly average flavor It's for rich frat boys who want to show off their pocketbooks and the old men they grow to be The rest of us have already found much more interesting whiskies at much more affordable prices

I don't know what it is, but this whisky just didn't deliver for me The nose was too bright and ethanoly, the palate was flat and young, and the mouthfeel was watery-thin with relatively no finish I also didn't catch a single trace of smoke I'm glad I only bought a $20 50ml bottle Is my experience similar to others, or might my palate be blown?

Bought a bottle, taste like 70bourbon 30lightly peated scotch Not smooth at all, quite harsh, taste notes; sour rasperry, caramel, vanilla Feels like ive gotten a sheit bottle since when i tasted it the first time i got almond, marzipan etc and it was very smooth without any harsh alcohol

As a JW drinker who has had all the colors I would say that Blue is not 7 times better than black It makes you feel good to be able to own it, but it's only a notch above, not a world above black Green is sort of a sideways move
