Welll I finally crack yesterday and applied for the Citi Custom Cash I had just dropped down to 4/24 a few months ago and was going to get the CSP if a increased welcome bonus popped back up but after further thought I decided I really don’t need another travel card because I’m already running a four card AMEX setup that covers everything travel related I could ever want and I can’t justify another AF I also have another card dropping off in December so I’ll still have another opportunity to grab another Chase card if I so choose Anyway I’m happy to add the Custom Cash to my wallet as it was in my future credit card plans anyway since I want to make this my dedicated gas card when the 5x on gas offer ends on my Chase Freedom Unlimited I was torn between the Custom Cash and the Wells Fargo Autograph card but man I’m just not a fan of Wells Fargo so I choose Citi instead Comment from : Chris Brown |

The Capital One Savor One card excludes super stores like Target and Walmartso I wonder what grocery stores are actually able to earn 3 and do we receive ANY cash back from shopping at Target and Walmart? Comment from : Calm Crinkles |
I’m anti AF for cash back cards Currently running the custom cash, BCE, and Fidelity 2 Haven’t decided yet how I want to go about getting the dining category covered Maybe the Chase Freedom Flex Not sure I want to add another account though for just an extra 1 on dining as I don’t see the 5 rotational getting much use Comment from : Matt H |
Have you heard about the Venmo credit card? For the first 6 months its 6 back on your top spend category, 4 kn your second and 2 on your 3rd After that its 3,2,snd 1 They sent me an offer and Im temptedlol Comment from : Tammy McMaster |

Very informative video! I started watching your channel a couple of weeks ago, and it's kind of addicting to learn about the vast credit card ecosystem brbrMy current cash back card setup is:br*BOA Custom Cash - online purchases (525) & most groceries (35) This includes flights paid online directly with airlines & hotels on Orbitz with Rakuten, except Hilton (Surpass card) and JetBlue (JB+ card)br*Chase Amazon - Whole Foods (5)br*Chase Unlimited - dining, drugstores (3)br*BOA Travel - all others (2625)brbrI'm thinking about getting Citi Custom Cash for my [$325!] Equinox membership US Bank Cash+ looks good too Comment from : izzym |
Thank you for providing value in this video It's a must that I initiate a product change for the capital one savor card Comment from : Luke Webb |

Just got my $400 sign on bonus from my American Express Cash Preferred Woohoo! Projected to make close to $1700 in total on 2 first credit cards over first year of having them just by transitioning money I was going to spending anyway to credit cards vs debit card use Pretty excited about that as I haven't even gotten cards to cover all of my spend categories yet Comment from : 412foto |

One of the things you often forget to mention, Mark, is whether or not cards have foreign transaction fees That’s a big deal for me and one of the things I always check for Cash Back ✅, no annual fee ✅, no foreign transaction fee ✅, are the three things I look for in a card Comment from : Roast Beef |
Any cash back card that has an annual fee, is pointless, don’t fall for it Comment from : Roast Beef |
Capital One Savor one is the best no annual credit card 💳 IMO 😎 Comment from : Claude Crevecoeur |
Does the savor one captial one credit card have a threshold before you can redeem cash back? I know for automatic redemption there is but what if I have let's say 6 dollars in cash back and I want to redeem it? Can I? or would I need to wait until I get to at least $25 Comment from : CHAD |
Mark as you may remember, I got the AMEX BCP 6 in April and CSP in May, is it okay to apply for Freedom Flex? I’m currently 3/24 Also, should I still go after the Chase Trifecta with the new Chase rules? Comment from : reddwitdreadz |
I love your Salvatore Ferragamo wallet! I like more modern wallets, so my fave brand for wallets is CoachbrI recently got approved for the Capital One SavorOne for Students (FINALLY), which I'm quite happy about!brI'm thinking about getting the Delta Reserve, mainly for the 747 limited edition designbrAlso, the US Bank Cash+ card is an excellent option for cash back! Comment from : Azan - اذان |
I've had the PayPal MasterCard since it came out Was a great catch all card, now it's a fantastic card that's one of the best imobrbrA few interesting pieces of info about it: if you're self-employed like I am, you can use this card to pay quarterly taxes directly to the IRS and a few of their payment resources except paypal So even though you would normally pay somewhere between 18 just under 2, it was just about always smarter to use a 2 catch-all card like this, but now you'll get 3 back which means you'll net 1+ on your taxes which can be quite a lot for some of us Lol and also another small tidbit is that cash back is available as soon as each purchase is done pending No waiting until the next payment cycle to cash out Also no minimum Comment from : Chris McKenzie |
With Chase new rules, who should I apply with next? I've hit my spend bonus on my CSP for 80k points American Express? Citi? Capital One? I'd like to keep with Chase to earn more points They seem to have the more valuable transfer partners to me Comment from : Trizz T |
Wow Mark, I watched your video and 2 days later received an offer from capital one for their savor one card like serendipitous I had to come double check on it, I'm definitely going to accept the offer Thanks again Comment from : Yami-kay |
I like Custom Cash so much, that I converted most of my Citi cards to it, and I now have 9 of them I also want to get Savor One to use for grocery shopping I'm new to Cap1 ecosystem, just got Venture X recently, and I like to complement it with Savor One I currently use Altitude Reserve for groceries via mobile wallet category Comment from : Yuri G |
Hey Mark! you should check and make a video about the Chase offer until July 31st for British Airway (30 additional avíos points) and until August 19th for Marriot Bonvoy (50 additional points) through the portal of Chase (transfer partners) so with this you get a lot of more for your points because is the Sapphire boost plus the offer! (62,5 total increase of your points for British Airway and 875 for Marriot Bonvoy with the CSP, the numbers for the CSR are 95 and 125, all this just in the transfer!!!) I hope this be useful for you man! 👍👍 Comment from : LR |
Question When waiting for a new card for the 6 month rule is it when the billing cycle starts and is reported to the credit bureaus or when you open the account? My credit card was opened in February but when you open a new card the billing cycle is delayed (and delayed some more when you change your billing date which I did when I got the card) I want the Paypal $100 offer that ends 7/31st But I'm not sure if I pass the 6 months rule (if I include February or not)? Possible video? Comment from : Zenster |
Can you help me I have excellent credit I run a small business and run around 20k a month currently on expenses on chase sapphire preferred I get1x points for almost all purchases Mostly fuel purchases What would be a better point rewards option with no Canada transaction fees?? Thx Comment from : trainerjames2013 |

Do you know if that CapitalOne Savor card has an international fee? We’re currently living in New Zealand so I’ve been using my VentureX and loving it, but the Savor could be a really nice secondary card if I could use it here… 🤔 Comment from : Go and Love |
Would be great if Cap1 did like Citi & Chase insofar as cash back & bonus transmutability to Capital One miles Comment from : Æthañeo OVegañœ |
Love the cash back Not into travel Made $800 cash back in 2021 Got really serious this year and made $885 back in the first six months of 2022 Chase Flex, US Bank, Wells Fargo, get the bulk of my purchases Thinking about some other new card bonuses, but may switch back to bank account bonuses instead Comment from : Oroborus |
The Paypal credit card being with Synchrony is the only reason I'm hesitant on pulling the trigger Anyone got experiences with them to share? Is it true they randomly closed accs? Comment from : Kyeori |
I plan on getting the saver one cardbrIn 6 months this would be nice if they keep the categories at 3 on most purchasesbrwe will have to wait and seebrbrThe 5 on travel is nice too Comment from : Jon |
Mark - do you feel that the cards that limit grocery stores to literally "grocery stores" have diluted value? With so many people belonging to wholesale clubs now and shopping at Target and Walmart for groceries due base price differences from neighborhood grocers, maybe the value just isn't there? The BoA cards actually get a big thumbs up with this considering their cash back cards include wholesale clubs as well as Target or Walmart With 9 inflation and people buying in bulk to try to lower overall cost / item, not sure the grocery category has all it's meant to be in terms of overall returnsbrbrThoughts? Comment from : SJG |
Excellent video Mark The Freedom Flex (my personal favorite) has become everyone's stable card so it seems The Capital One SavorOne Card though (direct competitor to the Flex) is really loaded and is a great deal, especially since you get some travel benefits to it as well with no annual fee and no foreign fee It's amazing this card doesn't get more publicity I think it's a steal Comment from : SJG |
For me that option with Citi to transfer your cash back to an external account is super nice! I bank with SoFi due to the 15 APY on checking and savings I honestly like throwing my cash back right into my savings account if possible Gonna hold off on applying for anything for at least 6 months, maybe even a year because I have a lot of hard inquiries on my report right now Gonna keep a list of cards I want to remember once I’m ready, Wells Fargo Autograph I’m looking at you! And Citi Custom Cash 😃 Comment from : Henry Carey |
Wells Fargo Active cash is missing! Comment from : Raul Bustamante |
Im tempted to apply for the SavorOne card, but I just applied for the venture card 3 months ago brbrAnd I’m at 4/24 on the chase rule But I have no plans on getting a chase card Comment from : Charles Newton |
Where can I find the original offer deal when I log into my AMEX account? I see the standard rewards, eg, the Uber, Saks, Flights, etc I want to see the 125,000 points goal, what I signed up for It’s not in the docs I received with the card and I can’t find it anywhere on my account (not under memberships rewards, account information, etc) When I call AMEX, they can tell me, but why can’t I access this myself? Once I hit the $6,000 spend, what if they tell me, “Sorry, you were offered 100,000” ? Comment from : Jacqueline Hicks |
I was told that if you have a Venture card you can also transfer the cash back from the Savor card to the venture card for points as a rate of $001 per point Same as with the Freedom cards to Sapphire Comment from : Emanuel Watson |

Great list here Mark! I'm also pretty impressed with the PayPal Mastercard and may consider it in the future if I ever start spending more in the online shopping category I've become more of a hybrid MR/cash back setup recently so this might be a good card for me in the future Thanks for the rundown!
