About 5 yrs ago I went into the hospital to have a laminectomy I ended up having 4 surgeries every 24 hrs I now have 2 titanium rod 18 screws and a cage holding my head up I became very depressed from this and it changed my life forever I have chronic pain and live on a lot of medication I didn't drive for well over a year, and now I am very grateful to be walking I never filed for disability because I had also gone through the war of roses divorce I am 57 years old I am very scared what is going to become of me I literally suffer in pain constantly After having my neck surgeries I ended up having to have my lower back done My husband still pays me alimony for a few more years It kills me that I gave 25 years of my life ran a business with him and now I have nothing I am living off the money that I made from selling my home but this will not last forever Can you please advise me as to where I should start My primary doctor has told me that he fells I would be a prime candidate for disability I have all my medical records and in all honesty I look like the bionic person inside I just wish I felt like one

a law firm hired me to file my application They say they don’t request records to send in yet everything I watch states to send everything you can I have a listed disability and am 50 I’ve done the same construction field since 16 brYou actually referred me to them I assume it’s normal procedure just scared

My wife and I have an attorney who's supposed to be helping us but we aren't hearing much of anything from them We filled out a stack of papers and she signed all the record release forms and were told we need to set up a phone appointment with SSA to start my wife's claim What exactly am I going to end up paying the lawyer to do other than take part of her money?

Well from what I gather, attorney's are only entitled to payment based on when you applied and up until the time an applicant actually receives approvalbr This is why you'll never get any straight information as to if you qualify off info postsbrSay for instance you have a 100 legit reason and you seek an attorney to file for you They won't and they won't because there's no money available to them in a slam dunk case They only get paid from back payment owed to you from the time you first file and any accumulated money built up during all the run around brAm I wrong? I don't think sobrI'd bet dollars to doughnuts iam not wrong Ask yourself why it's so difficult getting answers All you'll find are videos basically tell you to give it a shot No real life input as to weather a person exactly like you are eligible

dose PTSD and borderline personality disorder toped with severe depression and carpal tunnel syndrome and also have fallen arches in my feet and am over weight by a lot sound like it would fair to try and get ssdi? I feel that I need it but I'm young and ashamed of it

Please help me, the dmv and doctors wont let me have a drivers license because of panic attacks I have and I will be loosing my job soon due to it (I currently live close to my work and walk to it) I will be jobless without it I feel like my only option is to go on dissability I am unable to take a buss because there are no stops near me aswell and the earliest the busses start is 5:30 however I need to be there at 5:00 for my job I also can't afford to a taxi or uber daily so ideally im hoping to use my dissability money to afford transportation what should I do
