Like the Vintage Video game market nostalgia is perpetuating these prices Once the people that now have wanted these have died off I don't think prices of new books will ever go that high like say a SPAWN #1 I just don't see it and nor do I see someone growing up these days caring to buy the 1st Issue of those golden age books except to flex their wealth I think the value is more a generational thing than anything

Every investment really does require some liquidity Those blue-chip Comics, Stocks, Banksy art, etc demanded real currency and a super sharp eye + timing in each and every time frame you mention Just like 1 million 2006 dollars needs 146 million today just to buy the same goods, a marked decrease in the dollars buy power, you have to imagine shelling out those monies to begin with in 20062009 YES, some comics outpaced inflation, this is great! But getting into those investments today is becoming limited to only a luck few or folks who pool their resources Investing right so your spouse does not divorce you, that's key! 😉

It happened in 08 and the "NEWS SAID" it was only for 15 years But it got better in late 2012 but 2013 it was looking better brbrI heavily invested in the stock market in 08-11 What I was told by "normal people" that my investment is stupid But those same "normal people" decide to invest in the stock market at the peak of 2020 and 2021 🤦‍♂️

Please also remember that you and I cannot afford to buy action comics one, most people can’t afford amazing fantasy 15, or Batman one, or a lot of these books that you were telling people that they should invest in Over the long-haul, investing in copper and bronze books is not a good idea, especially not at today’s over speculative market You cannot buy these books that the normal person can afford and expect that you’re going to be sitting on a gold mine 20 years down the road It’s the same really with the overall stupidity with VHS tapes and sealed Nintendo games, as the people that remember what that stuff was get out of the market, either by age or death, nobody’s going to be looking to buy that junk Comics are nostalgia, Huang after the ready becoming overused comic movie genre dies, and holding onto books where people will know the characters probably your best bet

The problem that you are presenting is that you are cherry picking a handful of books that rose in value, versus the other 99 of books that dipped wildly You cannot just pick the best books out there and try and make a cohesive argument, because there is no correlation between what you’re talking about in a comic book versus what you were talking about in a recession with the economy

Dave,I am glad you made this video cause alot of people have been telling to sell all my comics cause they will be worthless and with our stupid president,the whole country could go bankrupt and if that happens will my comics still hold there value cause they are worth about 12k now It's hard to believe that I been collecting comics since 2007 and I only got 3 short boxes but I am very pick cause if it isn't a key,rare variant are a cool cover art I don't buy itI did just get my hands on a rare Batgirl comic with a custom sketch of joker holding batgirl and it's pretty rare cause I haven't found another copy online no where so it should hold its value plus the art work is wicked
