1:55 From a legal point of view you have not paid for your fuel, due to your method of payment being refused On the Royal Mint website, Royal Mint guidelines advise that, although the coins were approved as legal tender, they are considered limited edition collectables not intended for general circulation, and hence shops and banks are not obliged to accept thembrbrShe was not hostile, the frauditor was the one being argumentative 50p Peter Rabbit coins are in mass circulation, and were not released only as a collective coin, though are available as such in a gift packbrbrLegally a retailer can refuse to accept any payment they consider to be unreasonable It is also clearly stated on the material that comes with the coin and in the Royal Mint website, the coin is not intended for general circulationbrbrThere is no requirement for the retailer to post a note saying what tender they accept Comment from : G D |

Numismatists collect a large variety of coinage A LOT of it is not to be used in the marketplace I'd be very, very careful about pushing the point on these sometimes If you slip up, you may find that you're in locked room deep inside the sausage station, and on your way to very bad things in court Just because it doesn't have "Not Legal Tender" embossed on it, does NOT mean the opposite These are going for 300 USD from China How much did you spend just to make a point? 100 pounds 1 pence?brI'll give you USD 44 for one if you provide the xray proof that it's 99999 Comment from : Kevin Dunlap |

This is just bullying Your pseudo laws are hilarious You're not as clever as you think They can't accept or refuse any payment they choose It's why most businesses don't accept cheques these days There's no legal necessity to display signage saying this You're just being a dick Comment from : A Sensible Young Man |
Sorry mate, you're wrong here Any company has a right to decline payment The Royal Mint have addressed the situation & said (on their website) that although the coins are legal tender, they aren't intended for general circulation and businesses may refuse them brThe status 'legal tender' doesn't mean anyone is forced by law to accept that particular payment, it simply means it's legal currency You could buy a car off me and offer me a cheque and I could refuse I could go into a car dealer and offer them cash and they can refuse They have the legal right to do sobrI don't like these sort of audits I much prefer the police audits where tyrants who abuse our rights are exposed Comment from : The Central Scrutinizer |

According to the Royal mint website : "Please note that whilst these coins are legal tender, they are not designed for general circulation, so banks and shops are unlikely to accept the coins The Royal Mint cannot accept returns of such coins outside of the 14 days return policy"brSo Looks like they are for collection only with less or no value, royal mint doesn't give a round after 14 days 😂 Comment from : SfantulPetru |
Mate your a dick, you only did this as you knew exactly what it would cause You took advantage of a young cashier who initially accepted your payment Do you release he could have got in serious trouble At the end of the day yes it's legal tender but they have the right to refuse certain types of payment, but you know that anyway don't you Comment from : Utube 1 |
No job yet mate ? Comment from : Joe Pesci |
N word meltdown any different to "karen" Comment from : Denzal man |
Just checked Wikipedia and the royal mint made clear it's not intended for making payment and they don't have to take it Don't know about the rest of your arguments about accepting it in error and changing their minds, I think they can correct errors in law, not sure the exact rules though, but they certainly don't need to accept it in the first place and don't need to tell you because if it's law we are all expected to know it without having it told to us each time, that's how that works, I think the bloke who accepted it was trying to be kind, or cool or something but would probably have been better advised to ask before taking, I know you do this for the good TV but you should be aware that nobody needs to take it! Comment from : Him |
Britain could do with more people like you, far far more in my opinion Subscribed Comment from : jarrahdrum |

I've had this exact same thing with £50 notes She is breaking the law (unless it's been changed in the 7 years since I left the septic isle, which is entirely possible given the madness that has gripped the country) by not accepting the promise of the Bank of England in settlement of a debt However the old bill are just as stupid and will always side with trader and arrest you if you don't offer alternative means of payment Thats life in not so Great Britain Comment from : Kizmiaz |
Saw some frustrated hostility but I'm still waiting for the "Meltdown" 🤔 Comment from : Brixton Tone |
