Nice TV Plasma's will be missed, although OLED is better they are still too expensive I still have two Panasonic Plasma's and will not get rid of them until they give up on me

My Panasonic 50" 3D TV expired suddenly after only 3 years on Apr 29th It was a plasma also The very next day I went to Kmart, saw this TV and bought it for $82100 Got it home and I really love it I'm having trouble attaching my home theater to it, and I'm ordering a switch box with 4 HDMI ports for my game machines and cable STB Your video is sincere and factual, no hype I concur with everything you said Great job!

Great review, thank you!brWe're actually buying this tv next wknd when my tax refund arrives For the price, ($799) we just can't beat it and it will be a great update from my current 42" Hitachi plasma that I've been using for the past 6 years My current plasma still produces an amazing picture (and I still haven't experienced ANY burn in whatsoever on this setperhaps different brands have a problem with burn in, but Hitachi doesn't) There are 3 reasons we are upgrading 1 size factor, 60" size a opposed to my current 42" 2 One of my 2 HDMI ports died on me (I only use 1 anyway so it's not really a problem) and 3 I wanted to get a new plasma before they completely discontinue them IMO, plasma is still head & shoulders above LCD/LED in overall picture quality It's so sad to see plasma phased out, but I look forward to enjoying this technology for at least a few more years Thanks again for the great review!

Hi, thanks for the review I've recently upgraded to this TV from my previous plasma (Panasonic 42") However, I'm having a hard time finding calibrations online What adjustments did you make to this TV? Out of box, the picture is currently blurry, and looks no where near as clear as yours in this review Thanks for any and all help!

I Just today went to purchase this locally I ended up coming home without Would like to know your take on the black levels as I spent a long time adjusting the picture menu and comparing it to the LCDs I could not get over how all the blacks were medium grey The whole point of Plasma besides the 600hz is the black blacks I previously was too late on purchasing one of the high end Panasonic Plasmas but did compare those blacks to he LCDs and they were as black as black gets other than oledbrbrSo what's with this TVs grey blacks

I purchased a 5300 just yesterday at Best Buy for $799, which is a steal for a TV this size I already knew plasma is better than LCD but your video has reinforced that for me It's unfortunate that plasma technology is being discontinued One question: what about the "honeycomb" effect I keep hearing about if you sit too close to the TV? Is it very noticeable?

Thrilled to find your videos on this TV! I have a 50 inch Panasonic plasma (720p) from 2007 which I love However, recently I was posted to China for two years and while I was there I bought a 55 inch Panasonic and it seems crazy but the slightly larger size was just big enough to make a difference in the feeling of the TV It really felt more like a movie theater in the home Maybe it was partly because it was 1080p Anyway, I'm getting worried that the TV industry is going to stop making plasmas -- totally agree that plasma looks the most beautiful, most natural, and also agree that all the "smart TV" gimmickry is a waste of time! I'm going to buy this at Best Buy in Los Angeles tomorrow because I hope they can deliver this weekend I work in the movie business and not many of us love the way film movies look any more, but plasma has the best picture Very appreciative of your other video showing how to put it on the stand I couldn't find any instructions for that online and it seems like it won't be too hard to do myself Best Buy charges $150 to do this that seems way too much to me

Why do you prefer to have it on the floor and not on a table or wall? I notice on the remote a button for illumination Do all of the buttons light up on it? Would have been nice to see that part of the remote Its a very nice TV, very sharp picture of the various fruits I enjoyed your review

Just got back from looking at the tv at 3 different Best Buys It looked horrible? I can't believe how Amazing your picture quality looks in comparison to what I saw And yours is not in a pitch black room? Yes, I saw them in a well lit store with the Eco feature turned off and with the remote I tried every picture mode and adjustment I could and still the picture had a brownish/grey dull haze Like your video the reviews online Pro and consumer have been great for this tv? How did you handle the "burn in" period and possible image retention being online a lot? Is there any buzzing sound from the speakers? I use my led/lcd tv as a monitor all the time and play BR's and games from my PS3 but the black levels and the shadow detail are lacking of course Thank you for a very informative video
