My biggest concern is playing response I got a cheap kit (Donner) and it only picks up about 60 of anything I play 16th notes are out of the question

Look some of these I really do want to look into getting but when you get into the ones they have to look like a regular drum set I’m just thinking myself do you could save almost $1000 maybe $2000 if you just got a $300-$500 full size real drum set now don’t get me wrong you have that type of money that’s all Yankee Dory for you but some stuff may not need to be necessarily the smartest idea for a electric drum set when you can get it quite a few hundred dollars less with a bigger real and louder drum set I understand all this is for convenience so it isn’t loud and I’m all for that as well but you were trading loudness for conveniency so if that’s the case why are you trying to make it bigger and more all look alike of a real drum set when the two biggest conveniencys Of having a drum set is space and loudness I guess I’m jobbers don’t care about space just how loud it is

A very worthwhile vid Especially as I record live drums always but apartment living has its disadvantages But mainly leaving these set up for demos and spontaneous inspiration keeps the juices flowing Sometimes you just want to put the idea down “live” even when you’re not ready for a live drum session… 👍🏽

Swap out the first kit with the Alesis Nitro I love Roland, but the Nitro just offers so much more at the same price point I'd also swap the Yamaha kit for the Roland TD-17KV Again, similar price but much more offered If I had crazy cash, I'd go with that Pearl Mimic Pro, it's an insanely powerful drum module
