Mels five second rule gave me the courage to go on stage for the very first time to do a stand-up comedy routine At the comedy show in line to see the show I said to myself today you’re gonna get your ass on stage ,so I asked the doorman within five seconds or less so I couldn’t talk myself out of it and I just did it Oh yes I was super super nervous and I was horrible Good news however the more times I go on stage I definitely see myself getting better at it ,and the audience likes me Practice makes better there is no such thing as perfectionConfidence is not the guarantee that it is going to turn out the way you want it to ,it is the willingness to at least try
