Pay 10 off msrp on 40k and below 15 off msrp on 50k and up If you are paying more, you are getting hosed I have bought 8 new cars in my life, always shoot for 15 off msrp settle for 10 off if necessary Never pay near sticker Never talk about finance trade-in or down payment until you settle the price the car will cost

It depends on the bank on the payments If you tell a customer you can probably get their payment to 400 you just lied to them You tell them fill a credit app and I can get you accurate payments from the bank if they if/when they approve them You make sure you say these are estimate payments when going over a 4 square or going over payments on the sheet

I used to worked for Toyota Penske and what I know is that a down payment is to protect yourself if anything happens to you once you leave the dealer you get hit or whatever the money you gaved as down payment is to recover the lost of the car

Take that 5k and to to a used lot and buy a decent car for the 5k cash and drive home in something you don't have payments for and any maintenance costs would be covered since you aren't spending it on a payment
