So it what you’re saying is pay half before the statement due date so it looks like I’m not using so much of credit limit but not all of it so it shows that I’m actually using my credit and pay the remainder on the payment due date so that I won’t have to any interest on the credit card

@13:10 why would a 0 APR credit card be a problem for anyone??? I had two that I used for a big move to buy myself time with covering expenses and paid them down perfectly with zero interest before the promo expired Once the promo expired, it went to the normal average APR for the big banks Not a problem for me

Autopay can turn into autopay HELL Don't do it Set up alarms, mark your calendar, pay when you get the bill don't do autopay Also if someone gets in my account online I know it was not me because I don't do thatbrCS over 800 and I'm low income, thrifty but not cheap

Do I report low balances on Credit cards prior to statement closing or report $0 balance prior to statement closing?? do they want me to report SOME type of usage on ALL credit cards? Some type of usage on SOME credit cards? Or just none at all? they keep destroying my score while I'm paying them all on time Tried both ways and it's not benefiting me

Good 101 for beginners, but the advice on credit utiliazation percentage is flat out wrong You should keep your credit utilization below 30, when possible and that is in aggregate of all your available credit, not under 10 of a particular credit card I use my CC to pay for anything and everything (and for other people too if they just want to pay cash) to maximize points However, I sometimes run up to 50 during peak usage periods once or twice per year and my credit almost always remains over 800 In a perfect world I should open up slightly more credit to keep my utilization lower However, my credit has always been high enough to get the top-tier credit offers whenever I need to purchase/finance something But, he is right, use it like a debit card and pay off, in full every month or you will go into debtwe have all been there and it sucks to pay money for nothibg

Dumb question here I need help I have a checking account and going to get a credit card with another bank for their offer To avoid any fees sending wires from accounts, can I just put money upfront into the credit card and have it sitting there like a debit card So every purchase I make gets paid right away Or am I completely wrong?

Im just got my first starter card at age 32 after i got my spending under control, and actually had savings for the first time They gave me 1500 limit so i use only $130 every month I write the amounts on a strip of paper i wrap around the card to keep from using it too much lol Ill always be old fashioned so dont try and change it lol oh and i just keep $1500 in my checking at all times to act as a zero mark The rest to savings(car/ house/home imp) and investments
Comment from : Ronald Kus

even as someone who knows a lot about credit cards, I actually did not know about statement balance being what is used for utilization I always thought it was total debts / credit limit this video was super helpful

Paying your card off each month means, you're only using 30 of the card or keeping the balance low enough so that you can pay it off

Important quick question- brIf credit limit is $1,000, if I’m paying my balance every week (or every day) can I spend more than $1,000 per month to maximize my cash back and points brBecause if I focus on credit utilization I can only spend $10-100 a month, which just doesn’t seem like the only way to use a cardbrMy first card comes in today so please respond!

I'm very confused! If your billing cycle is Nov 29 - Dec 28, you say that all the expenses in between can be taken care off on Jan 25 as Payment due date? So they won't belong to a 25 Dec Payment due date? Could you please explain this detail in particular 🙏🙏
Comment from : Exciting Life

viper39
Im trying to figure out if you can pay to early or how long after its posted to your credit card should you pay it and that will still build credit

If you have a late fee, just call the credit card company and explain that you've been a good customer and a one time mistake and it always gets waived

Amy Yoshikawa
Hi this is good advice I had an overpayment on one of my credit cards, when I pay before the due date I hope to keep a limit on all my credit cards Except I pay cash for gasoline, haircut, and to my gardener Wow this really helps I don’t want to have a late payment or go over my budget I don’t like to use credit cards I better stop my retail therapy hope to pay off my 5 big and small credit card bills I do pay in full 👍

Does my live “current balance” have to be $0 at the close date to be considered payed in full for the most recent statement?brI mean, what if I have new translations made after statement “A” close date that will be reported on my next statement “B”… if I pay my statement A balance in full before the payment due date, will they look at my current balance on its due date and think it’s NOT paid in full because I have unpaid charges for statement B?
Comment from : Coyote Reed

Cody
So what if you pay it all off before the statement date?

Mr51Caveman
I make a purchase and normally pay it off within 24 hrs of that purchase Over the years I have reached a 850 credit score Yes it varies somewhat between the 3 big credit scammersoh, sorry, Credit Agencies but not much I have in excess of 11 Credit Cards with an available credit line in excess of $100K I have ZERO balances! Took me a lot of years to learn the game and I still don't understand it totally Part of the credit "game" is to be in debt! Sounds backwards but that is how it works For example I paid off a Truck that had a $497 a month payment and when I did pay it off my Credit Score DROPPED by 15 points Okay so I don't have that monthly payment anymore, I'm LESS in debt but my score dropped Why? Cause I don't have that credit line anymore Less in debt and more available cash Doesn't really make any sense My credit monitoring service sends me Ads daily it seems wanting me to open more Credit lines Really? Okay so if I open another Credit line my score drops In a few months it will go back up, all things being equal and I haven't done something stupid like max out a card But again, they want you to be in debt! So long reply but the take away is PAY off your Credit Card balances asap! DO NOT CARRY A BALANCE!

This occurred several years ago I always paid my credit card bill in full on the same day every month for years, I got a statement that had a $35 late fee and interest charges I called the credit card company to find out what was going on and they had moved my due date up a week and I hadn't noticed it on the statement We had a "discussion" about it and they waved the extra charges I wonder how many people they did this to and how much money did they make doing this! Hopefully they're not allowed to do this anymore I cut that card up after that

L C RIVERA LCR
Man that was a lot to remember can we just pay the card in full and that’s it 😂 like I barley got a secured credit card I’m 20 and I have 200 but I use only 20$ from the card to keep utilization low and I just pay the card in full on the due date some videos I’ve seen said I could use more obviously but for example if I use 50$ I would have to pay 30$ before the due to for the credit ppl to not see a high utilization Idk I’m new to this
Comment from : L C RIVERA LCR
