I must have between 150 to 200lbs of foreign coins, though I don't have a handle on their value per se It'll be an interesting hobby for me to find out when I'm retired I definitely stack Silver & Gold, but I don't stick to bullion 50 of what I buy is 90 Constitutional/Junk Silver and the other 50 is 999 Silver bullion I think I have between 700 to 800 Mercuries Love 'em I stay away from the numi's, mostly because those prices are most relevant during good times But I certainly don't fault anyone who likes the numismatic aspect To each his own

I collect a lot of foreign coins but usually silver or gold coins I have a lots of gold and silver bullion, in coins and bars I don't have starter books Not being from the United States, I don't collect Mercury Dimes I have some silver American quarters, not a lot I never collect slabbed coins because I don't believe third parties like PCGS, NGC or ANACS should get my money just for slabbing coins Walking Liberty Half Dollars are ugly I don't want them I only keep them because they are made of silver Morgan dollars are pretty but Peace dollars are ugly Again, I don't have a lot but I only collect them because they are made of silver I don't particularly like American coins There are prettier coins made by some foreign countries than the United States

However, I must admit that I'm awfully leery of Top Population certified coins, especially in a sharp economic downturn such as the United States 🇺🇸 and most of the world 🌎 experienced in 2007-2008 And with the advent of gradeflation since 1996-1997, I am even more fearful Could Silver decline to $700-$800 per oz ? I personally think it's not out of the realm of possibility; or could it soar to $500-$800 per oz within a decade or two ? If the latter should occur, I'm not certain Society could function very well, as it could portend serious problems for us all
