Could be the difference between an easy degree like gender studies or something vs a difficult study heavy degree like engineering But also if you're in a college like Stanford and only do 3 hours study a week, generally its reasonable to assume you probably didn't earn your place there

Depends HEAVILY on the major I went to ASU for Chem Engineering and to have a competitive gpa, you need to be doing school for probably 50-60 hrs a week During midterms its closer to 70-80 hrs a week, and right after midterms its 30-40 hrs a week Easily harder than any non engineering degree from harvard, harder than any biology degree by a mile (I did 4 semesters pre-med and it was about 4-5 times easier than engineering) Any competitive engineering student could probably complete an entire psych degree in a semester Requires much more smarts than medschool, though less memorization
