I was playing an R&B gig in a smaller town in NC All star lineup of players and we were covering some Jill Scott, some Maxwell, you know all the favorite r&b and neo soul stuff The crowd dug us and a few came out on the dance floor When we stopped - and the DJ put this on - THE WHOLE BUILDING RUSHED THE DANCE FLOOR!! 😂😂 I was like wow, I thought we did pretty good But I see who they really like in this town! It was great to see that love for the music that they really appreciate They didn't care who we were or how good we sounded - when their joint came on, it was over!
