Audi All Day
I love my continental DWS 06+

Does any of the good main manufacturers do a 285/30/21 all session tyre… here in Wales we get few ‘hot dry days’, lots and lots of wet days and lots of cold days (bellow 5’ C) but little snow on the coast so an All Season would be best case for my RS6 C7, I cannot find any, only full winters or summer tyres 🤷

Currently have a 2017 Civic Si with 235/40 ZR18 Michelin Pilot AS 3's on them It's time to replace them, and I noticed that the tread width on the Continental 235/40 ZR18's is 1/2" narrower How much of a real world difference does this make? Car is driven hard but is a daily driver and no mods other than Enkei 18x8 wheels

Quick question, regarding the best performance all season tires for a 06 325i I’m stuck between the DWS06+ and PS A/S 4s, the price difference is around $200 since the dws06+ are $132 and michelins are $182, Would the $200 extra be worth getting the michelins or no? brbrI’m mainly looking for performance and smooth ride quality Live around the east coast of new york in Long Island

MPower
Excellent review, but I think as part of the snow test, you should add something like a hill climb Drifting on a snow track doesn't show anything The point with the snow test is not to show a lack of traction, rather the amount of traction It's analogous to how much slower a car is drifting on a dry track It's fun, but what's the point when traction and adhesion are the points?

I live in Florida I don’t travel just go to work which is 10 min away I am in between either Bridgestone or Michelin I don’t know please could you give me your opinion! I’m glad I found your Chanel 👍🏻

macker0077
Recently had a track day with the Pirelli P Zero all Season Plus tires on my Boss302 Grip was marginal at best, especially after running a few laps Definitely will be looking for an Ultra High Performance summer/track tire for my next track day
Comment from : macker0077

Bcyde Films
I've had the DWS for 3 different cars I will say, on a Maxima it performs extremely well, especially, on older years Newerer they're okay but the treadwear on my Acura TL is horrible You can see the belts even with rotation every oil change at 5k miles

An idiot in a racing car
Which ones are actually sold in Europe?

I have the continental extreme DWS06+ on my 15 STI In both wet and dry conditions, I swear by them Amazing grip and resistance to hydroplaning I feel very safe and confident driving year round in all weather conditions I use these tires on all my cars and are the most all around bang for you buck Best all season tire performance especially with AWD

Jocko Bacumbo
Hi, great video Could you do these same brand of tires in the run flat versions in grand touring all season, preferably in the 225/45R18 size? Thanks
Comment from : Jocko Bacumbo

David 306
All righty, I live in a mostly warm climate with frequent thunderstorms In the winter, we might get five to seven days of snow and when we do, all hell breaks loose The car is a Volvo XC70 so more All Season and less UHP tire I originally ordered the Pirelli but I had nagging doubts At the appointment I changed my mind, paid the up charge and now going with the Bridgestones We'll see what's what, thanks for the video
Comment from : David 306

Prethibe Biswas
I bought a set of Bridgestone Blizzak last year after watching your videos and today I ordered the DWS 06+ (it was a lot cheaper than Michelin) Thank you for putting so much effort in making these in depth videos You make purchase decision very easy Keep up the good work!

How about tread life? I have a 2020 dodge Durango RT and looking for good tire Only got 36k off stock I live in NJ so need all weather balance

Da Ven
What tire might you recommend for all seasons (not that much snow) for a GI to replace the horrific EOM tires VW keeps putting on the otherwise fantastic sedan year after year? Owners keep complaining about skids, crashes, even blowouts How can one trust a car company that keeps doing this?

Comment from : cycloneyou

Eric Cross
Dang it! I can't seem to get a good sense on the road noise and wear between the Mich Sport A/S 4 and DWS 06+ I have seen mixed comments on both It seems like the DWS are quieter and have a little longer tread life than the A/S 4's Can anyone confirm? Great video too!
Comment from : Eric Cross

Would like to see how the new Pirelli Cinturado Weather Active would perform! Next generation classification with a little better snow handling
Comment from : Nunya DB

I will almost always choose a Michelin, but it is extremely important for Continental, Pirelli, Goodyear and Bridgestone/Firestone to exist and succeed for innovation to continue to occur

Thanks for the review You have a great job IMO I would love it I need new tires for a Land Rover discovery sport I in New Jersey with just a little bit of snow Not much I have worn out Pirelli scorpion We have Continental on my wife’s Audi and I prefer the way the Land Rover drives Maybe it’s the Perelli tires? I’m looking for something sort of sporty leaning towards dry and wet mainly What do you think is right for me? I appreciate your advice
Comment from : North jersey Kev

Dave P
My 2006 Cayman S has DWS 06+ and they are excellent tires, no complaints here!
Comment from : Dave P

John Clinger
Great video as always Curious if anyone has observed flat spotting on the new DWS06+? I used the previous DWS06 and if you didn't drive it for a couple days it would flat spot notably (softer sidewalls) creating a vibration that would take 5-10 miles of driving to smooth out each time Never experienced this behavior with the A/S 3+ or the A/S 4 This is the only characteristic that's holding me back from trying the DWS06+ so any insight into whether Conti fixed this is greatly appreciated
Comment from : John Clinger

Thomas D
How do you calculate your tire pressure if your size is different than your oem wheel For example my oem wheel is a 255/45/20 35psi But I’m running a 255/50/19 and that size is not in the manual
Comment from : Thomas D

Nolan McGilvrey
Hey! May I ask why the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate aren't on here? They seemed to do great on your last test Also, in general how do you feel about Goodyear tires as a brandbrbrI was also wondering if you've done any tests on the Yokohama Advan sport a/s that's what I had before and liked them but want to see if any of these tires are better Thanks for the help!
Comment from : Nolan McGilvrey

Eric Schumacher
I’d like to see a comparison after the tires have 20,000 miles on them I have 20,000 miles on my set of Michelin PSAS4 and am at 3/32” tread depth (no drifting, racing or really hard driving) I’m taking the mileage warranty and using it toward a set of the Continental DWS06+

Mr Relentless
Is there a difference between all season "Touring" tires and "Ultra High Performance" tires? And if so, which brand and make would you suggest? I have a 2019 Honda Accord Touring 20 and it's time for some new wheels

You can’t get the PS All Season 4 in the UK, only the Cross Climate 2 so for here in the midlands what would you go for today, the Cross Climate 2 for all year or the Pilot Sport 5 where sensible in winter months not having much snow or none? Currently on PS4, 4S and been fine in the winters last several years Thank you

ihatemacs9
Thanks for the insight Please keep doing these I know dedicated winter tires are the best choice, but the RE980AS+ is now on my shortlist for my next set of all-season tires After losing control and sliding into oncoming traffic in moderate snowfall, I am more interested in the winter performance
Comment from : ihatemacs9

ccol009
I’m glad and thankful and grateful that I got a used set of 4 Bridgestone Potenzas for $100 a tire ($400 total) when my tires needed replacing Tread was still good but man those tires were loud and had noticeable road noise compared to my Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons Even some cheaper tires I had (Ironman imove gen 2 AS and Achilles Desert Hawk) were quiter than my Bridgestone Potenzas The Bridgestone Potenzas I still like; good tread but very noticeable road noise

Ordered the Continental DWS 06+ last week for my '17 Jaguar XF 2L Diesel Glad to know I made a good choice, although it wasn't done blind I will let you know how they work out- getting them put on in a day or two Cheers and thanks for the comprehensive reviews!
Comment from : Paul West

Jerry Odom
I had pirellis on a triumph spitfire, and I would do it again…they had good traction, held air with nail punctures and were just great tires for wear also…
Comment from : Jerry Odom

Mots
I just put Continentals on my SL550 and it's a much quieter road holding tire The sidewall is stiff enough to hold the turns and soft enough to allow for a smooth ride I took the car up to about 160mph and again it was smooth without the shuddering that my old tires had Highly recommend
Comment from : Mots

motorwolfe
a very well-done review! I installed 235/45ZR-17 DWS06+s on my W210 Benz this summer, and the amount of grip they have (dry and wet) is frankly ridiculous for an all-season tire - just unbelievable in fact, these tires are so sticky that for the first 50 or 60 miles, it sounded like the car was driving along on 4 giant lint rollers! steering feel, ride compliance, and resistance to hydroplaning are also excellent after several thousand miles I'm pleased to report that while the sticky-linoleum sound effects have gone away, both the leech-like grip on the asphalt and my undying affection for the DWS06+ remain it's an outstanding choice if you need all-season performance
Comment from : motorwolfe

Thor Sørensen
I use summer tires all year round, dont bother all this changing
Comment from : Thor Sørensen

crankaholic
I had the Michelins and Contis on my 135i and I agree with this test however I found that the Michelin doesn't last as long, wet grip fell off sharply after about 20-25k miles even though I had plenty of tread left I never had that happen with any DWS I've had I also noticed that the DWS are much quieter after going to them when the Michelins wet grip fell off, but maybe that was because they were older it's really hard to judge noise levels as they increase progressively so I guess I'll never know if the Contis are truly quieter
Comment from : crankaholic

hiptech
Great review! The format and video is very professional and concise Based on watching this I just ordered the Michelin Pilots for my Acura TSXbrbrA friend who has the same car bought the Continentals so I look forward to doing our own back to back comparison Tires are so important yet they are so compromised in their qualities it's impossible to know how they perform based on expectations, vehicles, climate, etc brbrYour reviews make it enjoyable and educational to understand the differences Thank you again

Alex
Immediately swapped the stock Bridgestone Turanza EL440 on my Mazda3 AWD for Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus and they have been very impressive in the dry and especially the wet These are like dedicated rain tires Heavy rain and standing water no issue at all I live in Southern California so I rarely get rain and never snow In the dry they’re stable and grippy, also quiet I was going to get the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 but they were significantly more expensive
Comment from : Alex

Chris Mccann
Hey Jonathan, any sign of the Pirelli getting a proper update any time soon? Any thoughts on rolling resistance and economy for them Cheers
