I agree with it should not be mandatory they way all of my teachers teach it (I have had three) the info goes in one ear and out the other because we takes notes do home work and next class we work on something completely different both of my parents had to take Spanish in school and I can say they hardly even remember it because they never use it I mean if you want to be a linguist than yes it is important or a telephone operator than maybe but in the age of google translate and apps that let you take a picture of words and translate them I fell it is completely unnecessary for jobs that don’t directly need you to use it on a daily basis My school gives you an option French or Spanish I chose Spanish because I couldn’t see my self ever using French but the fact that they don’t let you chose if you want to take it or not but hardly give you a choice of what to learn in unfair No matter how hard you study if you have no personal interest in speaking that language it will be so hard for you to learn it Comment from : Bob Lobster |
