I don’t know why but when I had >(3-4) weeks to do something I didn’t do it but today I had only 1 week left and did it to not worry about it any morebrAlso my mother tells me to ‘do something so that I don’t have to think about it’ but it doesn’t seem to work for me

Loved this video, really resonated with me only problem is the task that i need to do isnt a short and simple task like laundry or cleaning my room i need to be dedicating 10+ hours a day studying, everyday for the next 3-6 months to prepare for my entrance exams And i just cant bring myself to study i just waste every single day knowing how urgent it is that i study 😭its been getting worse the past couple of months and im at my lowest right now and i cant do anything at the time where its most important that i do it I hate it and im so helpless

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was like 9, for years I thought it was just one of those "Psychiatrists love to diagnose kids with ADHD, its a thing", as years passed I started considering it more but this video was really the moment when I realized this is a real thing that I have, never before have I feel more identified or seen than at the beginning of the video, I'm not sure if the solutions for my issues with motivation lay here but man, just hearing someone say word for word the way you think about how you experience your life is a very comforting feeling, thank you

Nice vid thanks… Unfortunately I don’t even get the motivation for things I enjoy doing - and often collapse under the weight of depression for the urgent things that need doing I get physical and mental Paralysis 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s so disheartening 50 + years of this and nothing has worked From shrinks to meds ADD + dyslexia with the negative memory deficit from both sides 🤦🏻‍♀️ It this point I’ll take a brain transplant 💔

I'm so taking notes on this! LITERALLY!! I have a wall of sticky notes about "stuff" and I'll be adding this soon enough I'm even applying this tips to this small task of writing them I'm adding doodles and little drawings to make it interesting and stimulating :D

I didn’t realize I was filling in missing planks by doing dishes with very vice smelling dish soap and fancy smelling counter spray I fill planks missing for laundry with expensive laundry soap (Orleans lavender Amber scented detergent from Amazon) I just knew it made those chores easier And dusting with an expensive ostrich floss feather (very light with many filaments) duster from Australia This was so interesting Thank you

I find breaking up the tasks into smaller ones and giving myself mini rewards after each broken up task (Lip mask, chocolate truffle, yoga stretch, five minutes outside)

Thanks for this I just hate that every task I do I've to build this bridge, it's exhausting and never ending It is never rewarding just relieve that crisis has been averted I'm so mad that I have to deal with this everyday, even things like brushing teeth and paying bills Just can't catch a break Ugh 😢

"Putting the thing off until it becomes urgent" is actually my multitasking strategy I structure my time so that while I'm doing the more urgent thing, the less-urgent thing ibecomes/i urgent Depending on how many things I have to do and how easy it is to break them into subtasks, I can often just do this process continuously to power my way through 4-5 different things in one go It feels great in motion, as long as you accept upfront that you were never going to do the thing if it didn't feel urgent (and thereby avoid feeling guilty about that)
