I remember thinking like you about not wanting to be anchored somewhere but I was in the mortgage business and turned around and bought the house I was renting Of course life happened and 3 yrs later, I sold the home and made $200k over what I paid for the home I should of kept it and rented it out because 5 yrs after I sold it was worth a total of $750k more than when I bought it I don’t think I had any maintenance issues just a gardener for $75/mos So … sometimes the ownership label does give you the ability to use your equity as collateral to buy another and so on To me investing in the stock market is something I don’t feel comfortable doing because there can be a market crash and just like real estate, you lose Do what feels right for you Comment from : Curious Girl |
