Love your channel, I'm a great believer in buying used gear when possible Just ordering a Nikon D7000 and battery grip for €225 as a back up to my old D610 and D800 And as you guys say you pick up some amazing lenses for very reasonable money Comment from : Mike Green |

I fear the price of used L glass in the UK would upset you guys! Very high!… Comment from : Don Soley |

Getting a bigger camera just to make an impression, but sacrificing so much image quality? And working witth a screen of the size of an Apple Watch? You can’t be serious Any FF DSLR is bigger than a professional mirrorless camera and those are ubiquitously accepted as professional cameras Also, showing up to a shoot with a really beat up camera might not exactly inspire confidence in your clientsbrbrGreat video nonetheless, really interesting idea and you guys are really funny together If I was to put together a wedding photography kit on a budget, I think the Nikon D600/D610 would be my body of choice Nikon’s sensor from 10 years ago are insanely good and really hold up to modern standards Most advancements have been in autofocus and video capabilities, not still image quality Comment from : Rick Biessman |

You guys are great Comment from : The Average JoeBody |

This video helped me when deciding to upgrade from my Nikon D70 with a Tamron 18-200 Wanting a full sized sensor I bought the Nikon D600 (I also wanted to do videos) Because I had the one zoom before, I chose Nikon 24-120 f/4 VR I also wanted the VR experience A friend STRONGLY encouraged me to get a normal prime lens, but I take instructions so well that I did a lot of push-ups in ROTC Enter my AF-D 20mm f/28 After another conversation (he was annoyed at me) I bought an AF-S 50mm f/18 and really ended up liking it I finally learned to do the ISO range so I could do a lot more with a 18 aperture I also like my 20mm, it is less handy for carrying everywhere than the 50 or the 24-120 zoom The D600 is certainly "new to me" especially regarding all the features that the D70 just did not have I only wish that I had wireless for photo transfer I bought inexpensive SD card readers brbrGenerally very pleased, would like more telephoto reach Trying to decide which lens would be a great choice as of June 2023 (I like to carry the D600 in a padded bag on my bicycle) Recommendations? Something to consider Those pro cameras are usually well used The prosumer cameras generally have tons of life left in the shutter I regularly see them with 15k or less shutter acuations Comment from : Buckley Robinson |

I have newer Nikons but my D700 and D3s are awesome Comment from : Ed C |
When it comes to using one of these cameras for professional work I have to disagree with Tony here that the size of the Canon would make people feel like you have more professional equipment Nobody is gonna give a shit about that and it’s just something photographers say to themselves when looking for a camera The thing he should have mentioned that overall I think does make it better for professional portrait use is the fact that its autofocus is vastly superior to the Nikon’s and the importance of that cannot be overstated I’d pick the Nikon for personal use and the Canon for pro use Love the video overall and you both are amazing! Great video, thank you for this ❤ Comment from : Zedmouse |

13:51 you sounded just like one of these voice assistants like siri, alexa or google lol Comment from : João Filho |

Coming to this late, but what a great video! I really enjoyed it - thanks Comment from : Tom Burke |
I agree that old quality used gear can compare well with cheaper new gear or be better sometimes brI have a Canon 1DX and a 30 year old EF400mm f/28 lens which I'm really pleased with and I'm really happy with the results I get for my bird photographybrThe ergonomics of my 1DX is great and so is the autofocus and although my 400 f/28 is extremely heavy at 65kg/143 lb the optics are fabulousbrI get a lot of comments about the size of my gear too and people sometimes ask what company I work for Comment from : Noel Chignell |

Magic drain pipe for the win!! Comment from : James and Marias Flip Flop Adventures |

Nikon is better Comment from : Reza |

Another great video The next time I come can we talk more about Nikon pro lens and bodies Comment from : Dwyane Brentson |

I wish we had a store like that in South Africa! Or do they deliver worldwide? Comment from : Jaco Oosthuizen |
Loved the video (actually I really enjoy all of your videos)! Quick question, how concerned should I be about shutter counts / shutter life on used bodies? Comment from : Lewis Makepeace |

I'm still rocking my old 450D with a Sigma 18-200mm F35-63 DC OS and a Canon EF 50mm F18 STM Definitely a bit old, autofocus kinda sucks and it's even worse with the Sigma lens 🥲 Manual mode with auto ISO sucks, and because of that I'm always on Av with manual ISO and an eye on my speed Having my ISO maxing out at 1600 it's a little limiting when it comes to low-light Noise performance at 1600 ISO is rough but not unusable I'm thinking about investing in better lenses like a ultra-wide angle, and a super telephoto I know the limitations of my camera and how to get around those, maybe in the future I'll upgrade to something like a Canon RP or something like that if the third-party RF lens situations improves Comment from : Duarte Filipe Pereira Neves |

Very surprising to me that KEH doesn't put up actual photos and/or videos of their used equipment for sale Im here in Vietnam , and most sellers post actual photos of what they have for sale Also, they should post shutter counts of cameras, so that a buyer can evaluate the actual wear and tear on the cameras Vietnam is a photographers paradise They love photography here Wedding photography is a high art done by many Used equipment prices are great AND REPAIRS great repair "artists" here, and amazingly low prices for repairs I call them "artists" (and craftsmen) for their great abilities As an example, i had an old NIkon D80 i never used it as to its worthless shutter kept breaking, and i moved on quickly to a D90 for better image quality The D80 shutter broke - TWICE i paid NIkon $170 to fix it, and it still broke I brought it to Vietnam, and the repairman at An Duc Digital in Da Nang put in a new shutter for TWENTY SIX DOLLARS Right to Repair? Amazing how much corporations including Nikon have made America totalitarian Hey Nikon, want to sell cameras? Have an international warranty only , and let repairmen do their job Comment from : Rich Faltisco |

You need to change the title of the video, you've spend €1000 total The Nikon is $440 Comment from : Dagobertrules1 |

I have had a D700 since they first came out I still shoot it Even as a 12 mp it has image look that people notice in the prints (yes, physical prints) I am shooting pro glass that I bought for my F4 and F5 back when I have had no reason to change to a bigger sensor just for casual portraits, and family shots, etc brCan the D700 beat a 24 mp or 60 mp in image detail when pixel peeping? Heck no But the 24 mp (and up) prints I see somehow lack the warmth of the images I get (shrug)brWould I use this body for sports or wildlife? (other than just shots of a squirrel or softball at the church picnic) Nope Big glass and the biggest mp sensor I can get for that job and probably a teleconvertor, etc brAlong with a hired guy to carry the bag :)brWill I change to a mirrorless FF body someday? Probably as an impulse purchase I might, but giving up my pro glass will take a big impulse Comment from : Denny OConnor |

Wildlife shooting: Can I write here & get some advise or Where? Comment from : Jim Kilt |
This video was one of the many that I looked at before I bought a ten year old D600, after trying out a D3200 for a whilebrI bought them largely because I have a few SP Tamron Adaptalls, and plenty of Nikon mounts, as well as some reasonable AI and AI-S glass I'd acquired over the yearsbrUnlike my EOS Canons, the Nikon bodies will do auto mechanical stop-down on shoot, which makes them much nicer in use As I grew up with mechanical-everything cameras, there's no learning curve involved, apart from taking advantage of the new plays that digital brings to the partybrSo far, the results have been pretty goodbrOddly, it's like I've come full circle, as the first decent camera I bought when younger was a Nikon Comment from : Fred Yellowsnow |
I can do anything with my Nikon D7200 that any other DX sensor can Comment from : RYwoodview |

Check out the mouse under Tony's foot at 12:40 - ran behind!!!! Comment from : Sales Engineer Training |

What $300? Comment from : aerohk |
I'd love to see a photography challenge as opposed to an image challenge No editing Just what the camera captures instead of layers, and computer manipulation Some of us don't have any editing software beyond what comes with a standard laptop So that would be a cool experiment for professionals Comment from : texjames2000 |
Such a helpful video Thanks for the great content! Comment from : Steven S |
With some of the things they mentioned with messing up pictures because they don't have VR, or auto ISO, it does feel like modern pro's are a bit spoiled by today's equipment Comment from : David Mes |
I loved watching this video Comment from : Urban Craft |
I still prefer my Pentax K10D 😏😏 Comment from : Ernesto Macias |

Canon 1DS, is no not a full frame, is a crop Comment from : SZA |
18mp is the low boundary Have a good enough screen at the back, and articulated is a plus (maybe 70D ?) but I still use my 6D as a B body And it scores having a 85 or a 100mm high aperture is a must, have a zoom just in case (but realise you don't use it at the end o the day) Too high MP is BAD because you need a $2000 computer to handle it in post For me 26mp is already too much for the 2012 mac mini Use money for nice models, travel nice places, nice hair, nice makeup, outfits, light, situation, framing, action, MEANING Tamron 85mm f18 VC is nice Comment from : Alexandre Lollini |
You should have picked a 5D, or 6D and a 100mm f2 or any 85mm, and yes, tamrons are good Comment from : Alexandre Lollini |
Well I started watching these people a few videos ago I didn't want to like them but now I kind of do Comment from : Wesley Johnson |
I started as a film photographer with Minolta X370, X700 etc back in 2000 I don't really need a camera that shoots 30fps and/or 100MP brbrI still have my 2X D600 and a D750 I am a photographer and don't shoot videos I don't see any reason why I would want a newer camera I'd rather invest in great glass brbrI shot a lot of weddings as a second job with these until I retired in 2019brbrThe image quality was amazing in 2012 its still amazing now and have never let me down! They are still on their original batteries and it still lasts all day! The D600 stays with Nikon 24-70 F28 and the D750 stays with a 70-200 permanently for its ability to focus accurately on the eyes brThe D600 doesn't have great AF of D750 hence I use it with wider lenses only! But since the files are basically identical they work perfectly as a pairbrThe sensors were great in 2012 and have plenty of resolution and DR and they are still great now! brbrWith great lenses --- these cameras are still relevant today Even if you have a great new Nikon having these older DSLRs as back up and second backup is a great idea and put that money towards excellent lenses Comment from : Ujwal B |
I swear this video was so interesting Comment from : Santo |
a few days ago i bought a used d750 with 150k shutter count for $400 works perfectly Comment from : RoseDecada |
Great video and amazing what you can get for just shy of a 1,000 bucks … Comment from : Scratchcards With Scotty |
just a tip for anyone grabbing these second hand bargains - jump online and grab any latest firmware updates The majority of second hand stuff i've bought (like 9/10), have never been updated In the case of the D600 in this video, firmware update 104 / distortion control 2018 seemed to improve the autofocus accuracy and performance in my recently aquired D600 Comment from : Nukem 990 |
Oh man I wouldn't mind a bargain 1D as an upgrade from my EOS Kiss X3 (EOS 500D) I need something to tide me over until I can truly afford a mirrorless setup Most of my glass isn't EF-S anyway, but what'd be a good affordable EF lens to replace the 18-55mm EF-S kit lens? All the missing port covers in the world wouldn't bother me either, I can just 3D print 'em! I've got like five different durometers of rubber material to choose from 😁 The 'impression' factor is why I've always gotten battery grips for my DSLRs That and it reminds me of the look of a Nikon FM1 with a motor drive unit installed It just looks seven kinds of badass 😂 Comment from : Bakamoichigei |
now i would like to see you both do this again but using what you know now, what would you buy instead? Comment from : Natsukage180e |
This was great information to learn about the gear, but none of these are any where near the $300 from what the title says Comment from : Diego Barajas |

This is a weird commercial Comment from : Yuri Bezmenov Was Right |

You guys are so much fun Comment from : Ron Rocheleau |
I bought a 5D Mark III graded as "Bargain" but the shutter count was almost 90K! How could this be considered a Bargain? Beware of this advertising videos Comment from : joseacarrasm |
we all know they didn't choose a sony full frame a7 series camera, cause that would have stomped all over both of these for probably even less money Comment from : einzeller85 |
As for the "shack with a green forest in the background" in the landscape section, I am quite sure that the difference in sharpness/amount of details isn't the result of the difference between cells - the zoom 28-70 (set to about 35 mm) just cannot be a match for a fixed focus 35 mm Comment from : Tor Tojed |
awesomebrperfect Comment from : RR Hickok |
skin tone color of 1ds looks terrible Comment from : Shichao Sun |
it's interesting how Tony chooses the impression the photographer makes to a client over the quality of the photograph Comment from : Dirt Farmer |
typical USA no knowledge and no idea all fake knowledge what right have I 45 years international photojournalist, photography artist and one of the first to use digital and photoshop this is all ego purchase looks and me,me,me Comment from : Kevin Fitzmaurice-Brown |
I got the old canon 6D and its awesome, I have taken sharp images of dragonflies in flight to astro landscape pics Comment from : Dark Shaman |
KEH doesn't have a return policy for bargain and lower conditions Be careful Comment from : Yuma Tsubouchi |
if this scares anyone you can get a autofocusing autoexposing film camera on ebay for like 10 bucks that takes very nice pictures the lenses are like 30 bucks a pop too Comment from : john taylor |
I love my D200 and D300 Both are pro/prosumer DX Nikons 10MP and 12MP respectively I have some nice F mount glass such as my Nikon 17-55mm f28g ED DX lens Lately I've been using my D200 as I think the colors on that CCD sensor are just beautiful Both the D200 and D300 have an almost film look to them, but especially the D200 Both were also dirt cheap My D300 body was $160 with 8k shutter, my D200 was $85 with 4500 shutter I have a very nice new Nikon z5 which is also a joy to shoot but those old professional Nikon DSLRs are great Comment from : Matthew Atchinson |
Thanks to this video, I just made my first KEH purchase using your code Would’ve been hesitant to buy used from a site I never heard of before, but it seems they have quality stuff Those pictures looked great considering how old the tech was Comment from : Nikolai Stahley |
Entertaining vid guys👍 I still use Canon 5d mk2's with 2 lenses, 24-70 28 and 70-200 28 Still making a bit of money (Aim for the nearest eye and re-compose) Comment from : djshax shax |
