I use Duolingo I’m on a 50 day streak They do great by repetition of symbols and translating English to Japanese as well as Japanese to English It forces me to dig deep and translate English sentences to Japanese

I used to create my own flashcards in BrainScape but it definitely consumed a lot of time - not 15 minutes a day And this is not time learning but just labouring creating flashcards Pretty soon one learns them and has to create another deck Premade packs never worked as well, however - they often lacked good descriptions or other components that would help me and make any card unique

Unfortunately, academic institutions in most countries don't apply any science-based language learning methodsbrLike, I know many people who learned a language for years at school/college/university, but after finishing there, they didn't have any ability to use this language practically
