Hey everyone, I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found some insight in some of the destructive behaviours that can be developed with excessive social media use This was interesting for myself and my team to understand and learn more about brbrI will say a couple of things I really don't condone the hurtful things being said about Mark Zuckerberg's appearance, I know the thumbnail overdramatises the video Many people are saying quite a lot of unsettling things and I get it you are like "he is rich, who cares", but that's not the point, bullying is bullying and saying hurtful things is bad I hope you can see where I'm coming from Doesn't matter if they are a billionaire or some outcast from some part of the world This is not what we are about brbrIt's important to be critical of big companies and it's important to be fair and objective in your analysisbrbrI don't think Mark is a bad person or Facebook in general are bad or even social media but as Chamath says in the video, "if you feed the beast the beast will eat you" This is the most important point of the video brbrI encourage you all to take a more nuanced approach to the video and not to view it has a pure condemnation, how we grow as a society and as people is to understand and use empathy brbrFor me the video serves as a cautionary tale as to what can happen when you go on autopilot mode and what can happen is that your time and attention is controlled by others This isn't just about social media it is about anything in life brbrAnyways, be kind Be fair and objective Speak your mind but respectfully, if you hate social media say it, if you love it say it Share why you think so or don'tbrbrThe most important thing is that we engage in a dialogue togetherbrbrWith love, brNav Comment from : Absolute Motivation

Personally I would like to think Facebook has enabled changing the world for the better Condemning it is like to condemn computer games A successful product is something people can be absorbed into as is what people enjoy and are looking for Banning social media is a bit like banning trends isn't it I would think if you want to tear people away from the technologies I would say to simply raise awareness about the damage screens can and do cause to the eyes in such a short time, and the effects of the contact with a device in terms of radiation effects If screens burn the eyes like a sort of destructive laser surgery, they could be burning the external areas near the device such as the hands, face and finger tips, aswell as the potential internal bodily harm from the whining noises and sound ranges they can emit, and the fact of the dangers of overheating and that of sometimes you can literally feel as though the internal organs are being harmed and can cause pains mistaken as general discomfort from being engaged with the device, u realising the pains and subsequent health problems that may be caused This is the unfortunate true reality of the world of technology It makes sense yo me yo focus on the aforementioned areas above to reduce the problems as much as possible to bring things down to a safer/less harmful level, which like a child on a computer game, limiting the length of time utilised to limit exposure levels as you might with safe limits of radiation exposures with medical scans, such as no more than 3 x-rays in a 12 month period as x-rays and mri scsns for example can wreak havoc on the body and immune systems, and is why I couldn't have another mri scan after a car crash that happened only a few months after having scans for pre existing health problems such as arthritis and spinal problems, made worse by the crash and subsequent stresses just before covid lockdowns began and hospitals shut their doors to non covid cases and non immediately life threatening care only, essentially meaning the backlogs of 1 to 2 years in some cases means many people like myself couldn't actually go to the hospital for treatment nor scans of injuries caused, nor obtain appropriate healthcare of any kind really I count myself one of the lucky ones who nearly died from health problems multiples of times through the last few years where so many others in my situation would have died and sadly have as a result of being left to suffer in silence with my only voice being social media, predominantly via Facebook, still a somewhat silent voice being writings that lucky for many are in the wrong place where people can take them for free where as if I put them in the right places I would quite likely be as wealthy or more wealthy than Mr Zuckerberg in all probability, but not knowing how things work I write and share to my page rather than create video logs partly because I suffer with chronic depressive and a generalised anxiety disorder, but none the less I don't have the things I should have, but I do have a silent, often difficult to hear and understand voice atleast, which is more than a number of people can say they have, or is that just what they, whom ever 'they' are, want me to think? As is a form of control in itself really isn't it, making disabled people feel bad for having health problems and complaining about vulnerable people like myself bring taken advantage of in many ways on multiple levels, as I try to talk about on my Facebook as my only voice in the country that abandoned me 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧 Comment from : Kevin Morgan
