Here in Los Angeles we get actors from all over the world and especially the English speaking world Brits and aussies are everywhere, the longer they stay here the more Californian they begin to sound Since it’s the accent used by TV personalities and most American media I am not at all surprised that the two young ladies from the UK and AUS slipped into a valley girl accent when trying to imitate the American girl A few years ago I heard Sophie Turner chatting with her friends in a salon and she would code shift from British to valley girl depending on what she was talking about Very interesting

This doesn't account for the fact that these girls are using their personal accents as a standard national accent, so their claims that " in the UK/USA/Australia we sayx,y,z" doesn't stack up, becasue for example the British girl is English (not from one of the other UK nations), so how she says "water" is not how a Glaswegian, Welsh, Liverpudlian or Yorkshire person says it An Australian accent from Melbourne can have more in common with the southern English accent than other parts of Australia where they speak in a much broader accent Britain probably has more accents than the other 2 countries put together, it literally changes every 25 miles USA also has a broad range from the southern drawl to the california surfer dude or chicano An interesting snapshot but none of these ladies represent their countries accents in their entirety, and nor is it possible to with just 3 people
