This is fantastic, you are a wonderful teacher I'm in my mid 40's and have had interest since I was a kid I'm finally getting around to learning about it, and you are an invaluable resource, thank you I do want to suggest for an analogy of voltage and current using firearms Imagine a bullet Don't change the amount of gunpowder (voltage) but change the size of the bullet (current) Gunpowder is the voltage/push, but without the bullet (current) nothing is affected It helped me visualize it more easily Thanks again! In addition to your capacitors, Electric companies uses a lot of capacitors to replace the loss of electric flow that is used up or lost when traveling at such a long distance All of them rectangular metal boxes you see in a power grid or power stations are capacitors, they store up electricity to generate a higher current flow so electricity can go further to provide us electric at our homes and businesses They use the KVAR factor to calculate to capacitance requirements to make up the lost electricity They use rolls of foil and film to make a plate as you stated in your video The film and dielectric oil help's with separating the plates I'm sure you already know this stuff, but many readers may not As you also may know your very good teacher Nice job Fust thought I would share some info Comment from : L Stevens |
