I love this game i played most of these when i was a kid so it was a beautiful dose of nostalgiaBUT!!!!! theres an achilles heel for the Nintendo switch, and thats that you cannot use 1 joycon per playerlike at all for any of the games I really wanted to play this with my wife she has a switch and i have the lite So i was very dissapointed we couldnt use the joycons for 2 players anf its infuriating when it totally could be as the games only require 4 buttons for attacks and jumps and a joystick for movement

My only real gripe so far is that there doesn't seem to be as much love for the Genesis version of Tournament Fighters I know it's technically the inferior version because it's just stupidly hard with limited ways to win a fight, but it's still the version I grew up with There's enough content to honor that, but I still wish it would've been included online, and that they had meaningful content for it in the strategy guide thing The manual includes all the regular moves, most of which I already remembered lol, but not the Desperation Moves It's a shame they didn't put those in the guide, as it'd just be a few lines of text and it feels bad to have to look something up online for one of these games given how complete the other guides and whatnot seem to be brbrBut I actually love that screenshot feature for the tv shows! Sure, it may not be much to look at for those unfamiliar with the shows in question, but if you've seen it before it's pretty nifty to be able to have a meaningful snapshot for every single episode from the entire show It kind of allows you to relive the series without watching it Kind of a niche appeal perhaps, but was fun to scroll through

The THEME SONG IS DIFFERENT! On the Arcade, they seemingly re-recorded the intro song WHY DID THEY DO THIS, I have no idea But it doesn't sound as good as the original There's sound effects missing, it's slightly slowed down, too much vocal separation between the singers, and additional reverb on the "heroes in a half shell" part that had the "fly" type effect to it Overall it's all worse because the original theme recording is perfection incarnate It's like 95 / 10 compared to the original, but it's still annoying nonetheless There was no reason to have this be different brbrI went back to the original arcade game just to make sure that there wasn't something different in that vs the actual cartoon opening -- there isn't The original arcade version had a bonafide exact replica of the first 10 seconds of the cartoon intro It irks me every time I hear it now in this collection

I'm glad the turtles are getting more time in the spotlight definitely my favorite cartoon , toys and video games from my childhood with the release of shredders revenge and this release we got the best collection of retro games ever created in my opinion and I had to throw shredders revenge in because it obviously uses the old catalog as inspiration and has to be seen as a spiritual successor in the series sad they couldn't add the turtles in time re-shelled Remake from the xbox 360 to really give every version possible but it's really hard to complain with the content provided this year Hopefully the castlevania collections and the turtle collections will spark a ! Over the head of some vp or ceo at Konami to give us a definitive Metal Gear collection Bigger than the xbox 360 and ps3 versions

So far I have done a TMNT Arcade playthrough, TMNT: Turtles in Time playthrough, and I'm now playing the Hyperstone Hiest I'm so happy this compilation turned out as sweet as it has As someone that played them all when they originally released this is really big for me I'm in my 40's and I'm jumping around like I'm 12 years old again My fiancee (a diehard gamer herself) is laughing at me right nowIm'a dork and I don't care because I'm playing Ninja Turtles again the way it was meant to be played Thank you Konami for staying true to your words and giving us this compilation completely unadulterated No day 1 patches that take 2 hours to download, physical release, no DLC everywhere, no endless advertisements, and absolutely no politicsbeautiful! :)brbrAddendum- We picked up two physical copies One for our Series X and the other for our PS5 I am playing on our Series X and she is on the PS5 right now

TMNT II for the NES is a fantastic game - brilliant soundtrack, amazing graphics and new and extended levels I never liked the third one on the NES - it looks simplified, although it's still a decent game
