If you can't center, start with a smaller drill bit like 2 mm and size up Or use a subland twist drill Was that a Quarter Dollar? I am from Germany so I am not so familiar with the US coins Comment from : Guzzi Cali2 |

ACTUALLY! instead of spending 100-150 bucks with Jason You COULD just drill it smaller or larger hole before you hammered it on to your jeweler mandrel brbrObviously start smaller and graduate it slowly until desired size is achieved, annealing before each graduated size Comment from : Aaron Leon |

a much easier way to size your ring would be to drill a smaller or larger hole in the coin initially! that way you don’t need to spend over 100 on tools 😬 Comment from : Hannah Fife |

bEdit: i was wrong and confused about working with ferrous metals vs non ferrous metals/b brbrfigured i would chime in on your terminology about annealing you do want to annealing the coin to soften it and make it more workable but what youre doing in called "tempering" and it actually has the opposite effect and can make the metal harder, stronger but it will be more brittle you need to let the coin cool on its own not quickly im not saying i didnt learn anything from your video but just noticed this one mistake and might be why your coins sometimes split brbri also just watched your video "How to make a coin ring for cheap with FORGED: Coin Ring Making for Beginners" where you made the same delmistake/del Comment from : Tim W |

I got sold a bunch of fake Morgan Stanley dollars and I'm pissed I was really upset I bought them at a time when I had a bunch of money and I threw them in a box and didn't pay any attention to him but when I needed the money about a year later, I found out they were fakes and the idea came to me that I could make rings out of them So I'm just now starting this is an excellent video thank you for sharing this knowledge with everybody Do you have any experience making rings out of fake dollars or are they all silver that you use? Comment from : Johnny |

Superb video, thank you for giving us a foundation which most can build from, I've been wanting to make coun rings for years and this was perfect brI know other tutorial videos out there can intimidate viewers due to how much equipment is required to already have on hand, yet this is encouraging to know there are ways to be creative without breaking the bank Comment from : MINTED IN HISTORY |

Damn i just saw this video after commenting on the other Well donebr One tip i do want to give if you dont want to use Coins for the ring you can use "blanks" sure it wouldnt have a design on it however some people dont like fancy So a simple 999 silver Blank would be fine you can buy Blank silver rounds from the mints like wwwregencymintcom/blanks/silver-blanks/ They also sell copper and other blanks brAll they do is STAMP the blank with the design so the material is the exact same as a coin, just no design now you want to use the same thickness as lets say a Silver eagle Your going to want 406 diameter blanks and 298 thickness Where did i get that from the coin dealers site now i can use that BLANK with the tools and make a simple silver ring with no markings They can even take it to a jeweler and get it engraved with a message if they want Comment from : Raver Magik |
Love to watch the process Can you post where I can find the items to buy please? Ty Comment from : tammy taylor |
Love all your videos Very descriptive very helpful! Thanks for it all I have gotten tons of good ideas from you! Comment from : ScottLk |
It seems to me that if you want to make a coin brring just one time only you still have to go to the time trouble and expense to do it If you can afford to And all your unused tools will eventually rust away It only makes sense if your motive is to make more rings and sell them to make a profit Otherwise don't bother Comment from : Timmy Tom |
Добавьте пожалуйста в Ваши видео русские субтитры Comment from : Саблезубый кот |

Very cool video, I do mostly woodworking but this would be a fun project to try too Comment from : Maker Cuisine |

As an addition to what someone said about gas station jet lighters, you can get butane torches meant for creme brulee or cannabis concentrates for between $15-$30 that'll get the job done annealing a coin Comment from : thomasthatsit |
Ok, you brung my nephew and me to the dance, so we are staying with you PS are you a bullet journal user, too? Comment from : No Thankyou |
Thanks for these videos Is it safe to assume the resizing kit can be used with a press rather than hammering? It looks like this 'kit' might replace the immediate need for a ring stretcher-resizer and, be easier when used with an arbor press Comment from : Philip Ruthven |
I'll give you one quarter for that quarter Comment from : MastaSmack |
"Before I buy a bunch of crappy tools, I am going to go to harbor freight" Comment from : Beans |

Why don't you just grab a ruler Measure the diameter of the quarter and just find the radius? It's not difficult to find center! 😂 And this is coming from a 21 year old that sucks in math! Comment from : ProVsCon |
