ALL those working “deadbeats” who work pay FICA at 765 + virtually EVERYBODY pays sales taxes, EVERYONE who purchases gasoline pays road taxes, EVERYONE with a cellphone or landline pays taxes, EVERYONE with electricity or natural gas pays taxes, EVERYONE who owns a home pays property taxes, EVERYONE who rents pays property tax as part of their monthly rent, EVERYONE with an automobile pays registration fees and/or property taxes on the vehicle, EVERYONE who purchases ANY good or service pays corporate income taxes since the business builds into their price the income tax on their expected profits, etc, etc, etc To some people, $10 is a lot when they have nothing left over at the end of the month Stop b!tch!ng that half the population doesn’t pay income taxes It may not be labeled as an “income tax”, but EVERYBODY who spends ANYTHING is paying taxes & Ramsey knows it!

I know Bible law is not to tax anyone more or less than 10 Rich and poor had to pay up They had things set up to take care of poor and widows You couldn’t take from the corners of your vineyards so the poor can go and take what they need from the trees It also has rules that you can’t take certain things form people or the poor It called it a tribute I believe this was what they needed to live

Given that the standard deduction for 2020 is 12,200 single and 24,400 married/joint, and the number of dead beats, 50 paying taxes seems about right Years ago, I was at a hotel bar in Austin TX a preacher came up asked me to lend him for taxi money to the airport I offered to drive him to the airport He declined I gave him twenty, declined to give him an address for him "send me a check" He turned around and bought a pack of cigarettes - no money to religious from here on

What if the whole tax system was changed, that you only pay tax when you buy something? No income tax is withheld from your pay check You pay 10 percent federal "sales tax" and that way, all income would be taxed, no matter how it was earned This would be applied to corporations and business If you need 50 tons of steel for your factory, you pay 10 percent tax on your purchase No write offs, no loop holes You buy, you pay tax
