@Sal - this is fascinating! Thanks for sharing the design and covering this I think you’ll enjoy something I recently came across so I’ll email you separately, but just want to say that the pinecone is supposed to signify the pineal gland and I wouldn’t be surprised if the “designators” who approve the designs are trained in metaphysics/Masonic art…you’ll see why 😉

Got bristlecone pine in s Colorado also Got one on my backyard, it truly is nature’s bonsai It lives pretty high up mostly in cliffs but above all in very well drained ground If a giant sequoia lived this long it would be miles high Some of this trees were already old by the time of the Romans, yeah I’d say their special

I see the eagle representative of America He’s looking back at the old system, which perhaps is represented by that old Bristlecone Pine on the coins obverse As far as the coin, it’s a hard pass for me I have zero confidence in the Mint to not screw this up

I like this "Tree of Liberty" design idea The Bristlecone may not be glamorous, but it's tough, tenacious, ancient and uniquely American These trees were growing even before the Sumerians got the idea of stacking rocks or figured out how to make bronze They were well over a 1,000 years old when the Greeks formed their first city-states and already 3,000 when Christ walked the earth They are an excellent choice for this coin whether they are "pretty" or not

Its easy in the wake of Russia invading Ukraine, it's easy to be goaded to get into war militarily This is what Putin wants Oil prices will rise and Russia has lots of oil China will also supply Russia because they manufacture many things So the sanctions don't really work US has to be smart, very smart by not getting into the war militarily

I'm actually very tired of this Pathological need of putting photo realistic animals animals onto coins just because they're animals The eagles, the panda's, the koala's, that kookaburra et cetera I like animals, but they always look like some souvenir I would get at the zoo The heraldic/emblematic designs of coins like the old silver eagles, or more artistic designs such as the libertad and the Britannia's are the most attractive
