You almost touched on some of the deduction benefits for business Research and development or even in modernizing a firm's infrastructure So it's not run into the ground, trying to save money If they can deduct the taxes on that, they get at least some savings in doing what one would think they'd want to in the first place But we've seen what happens when businesses don't spend on their own upkeep
