What do you guys think would be the best option?br #1-Right now the 85” QM8 for $2,200, but buying a Roku 4K stick to get around the DV issues br#2- the 85” QN90B for $2,300, but deal with the rainbow effect, Blooming and color washout issuesbrOr #3- wait for the price of the 85” QN90C to drop under $3,000 by Black Friday, get it at Costco and get the free 5 year warrantybrI’m looking for the best possible 85” Mini-LED TV option for under $3,000, I do mostly streaming of Movies, Sports and Shows Comment from : Jose Espinal |
Sony Mini-Led is the best 85" for value I wouldnt buy a Samsung at 86" or LG The Sony X80K or X90K is decent 83" OLEDnone are budget Why not the Sony 98" or half the price TCL 98" Very necessary I enjoyed the LG Mini-LED 86" Qneds 85 83 90 as well Comment from : UhhhOhNoo0oo0OoOoo0oo0oO0 |
Great work Fomo, are you planning to do this video in other sizes? 65" and 75-77"? Comment from : River |
The fact that we live in a time where you can buy an 85 inch TV for under $1,000 and have it actually function (although my inner enthusiast snob would never own one) is truly incredible What a time to be alive! Comment from : Joshua |
Hi Fomo, what's your thought on Samsung CU8000 tv?
brIts a 4K LED panel with very thin bezels and the Tv itself is a very thin compared to Samsung's other models Have you seen any panel heating issues in Samsung slim tv's? Because it can cause LED burning Comment from : Bhikusa |
Purchased the Sony 73" x90ck, returned it for the 85" x90ck, big improvement on theater experience Comment from : Garage Sale |
Awesome video as usual!! Im thinking about the 75" Q7 for $1100 I know it's not mini-led but the price for the size and picture quality is not bad at all What do ya'll think? Comment from : Carlos Perez |

It just amazes me that the Hisence 85 inch UX we hear absolulty nothing about WHY? I'm a Samsung guy but I've had my eye on the TCL Q7 especially with all the features Comment from : Kenneth |
75 inch maximum for me Unless it’s 8k you lose pixel quality A lot of money for an inferior picture quality Comment from : Andy D |

Thanks so much for this, FOMO! Does anyone know if the TCL QM8 is the equivalent of the C845 sold in Australia 🇦🇺 and New Zealand 🇳🇿? Comment from : Joshua Mansill |
Even without any 8K content, are we better to consider 8K at 80+ inchs for pixel density, or doesn't it really matter much? Comment from : aweegin |
Hi FOMO Can you please say does QM8 have g sync or not? Thanks Comment from : HaMiD MoHaMMaDiaN |
Which is better? Samsung QN90B or TCL QM8 Comment from : Ray Cruz |

Just wanted to ask, what your best setting in hdr on samsung oled with regards to judder and motion blur Comment from : Harold Panganiban |
I just bought an LG 86" QNED80 from Best Buy & it's decent It was an open box on sale for $1186 so it was worth picking up It serves the purpose now of digital wall art in my dining room & it takes up the entire wall so it's good for what I use it for I definitely wouldn't use it for gaming or watching streaming content It's not that good brbrI'd rather get a Sony 93L or a Sony X90k I know I'm probably in the minority but I love the soap opera effect in tv's & the filmmaker mode in the LG to me is a big turn off So much so that I just use it for wall art For the price I got it for I guess you can't really complain (even though I just did😂) Comment from : Ty Devon |
Not a best buy fan But no Lg's in lower price ranges brMy 86" cost $1200 and it's very nice Comment from : LionRoaring |
Love Sony’s processing, leaning towards the 85 95l,…great for movies,…but for the life of me just can’t understand why the maker of the ps5 TV’s limit their picture adjustment options while in game mode or blacked, locked out,and game mode is the only picture mode where one can use vrr and hdmi21 featuresthe player should have the option as what is acceptable lag, many gamers are not even affected by it…on that point Samsung game mode doesn’t lock any of their pictures mode Comment from : tatito rodriguez |
Hi Jason, brCould you do 98" TVs next please?brTks Comment from : Nah Lho? |
What about hisense UX? Is it a good TV Comment from : Abiola Olajide |

I appreciate a short and to-the-point video like this because I never have the time to glean information from a 3-hour video marathon Comment from : Mark Salamon |
Hey fomo, do you know if the QN90B limits local dimming when gaming with VRR on? That’s one of the few complaints with the QM8 I’ve heard I ordered a QM8 during prime day, but seeing the deals on the QN90B I’m starting to reconsider I’m only playing games on console too no PC so I’m not sure that VRR is really super important Thanks for everything you do Comment from : Adam |
Didn't Hisense say there was an 85in U8K coming this year?? Seems like it's not because I don't see it anywhere But their website says it's coming🤔🤷🏽 Comment from : UniqueJ |
Great video Is that true? The G3 isn’t much of an improvement compared to the C2 so better band for buck? Comment from : Peter Hanlon |
In that range of price and for people who likes big screenbrWhat about 98" TCL class XL?brNot the 98" QM8 Q because is out of the price range Comment from : David Vincent |

Trying to decide between 83" G2, 85" QN95C, 85" X95L, and 85/98" QM8 Using it for every case: Sports on YouTubeTV, Gaming, Streaming, and HDR Movies in most likely a semi bright room Which of those would you recommend? Comment from : Eric Strickland |
