Picked up the 28-75 used from MPB for about $500 Great value and it's my standard walk around lens I still have primes in my bags but this lens lives on my camera 90 of the time Comment from : PHOTOGURU |

I have the 28-75 Tamron and also a 24mm G F28 (for when I want very light, pocketable on my ZVE1) which I find more useful than a 50mm I would like the 12-35 powerzoom but it’s pricey Comment from : wakeywarrior |

Thinking about switching to sony after fully using my Xt100 fuji Im planning to get the Sony ZV-E10 to start and was wondering will these lens be suitable for that body? Comment from : R J |
Not wide enough and not tight enough If I only had 2 lenses I'd use a 16-35 and a 70-200 Or more so, Tamron's 35-150 and a 16-35mm Comment from : Glen J Films |
All photographers need to go through the process of defining what they like for themselves The instrumental part of photography is curiosity, Naturally you have a tendency to buy more lenses and experiment I carry no more than 3 lenses with me 15, 50 135 Two of them are excellent in the low light environment The low light capability for me is important when traveling Some of the primes can be very hefty so manual lenses come in handy I love using them Great video Comment from : B P |
Need a new list of lenses we can afford Comment from : northwestrepair |
awesome freaking video Comment from : PivotPixie |
What bag? Comment from : Ethan Smith |
How about when filming 4K 60fps? Most cameras crop Super35mm with 15x cropping So you would still use these lenses? Or get the equivalent focus after 15x cropping under 60fps Comment from : ismagine |
35+85! Comment from : Josh Springer |
Henri Cartier Bresson shot with a 50mm and is famous Those two lenses? I would pick 2 zooms and go from there, 18-135 and a 70-300 and be happy Comment from : B Grzesiak |
I would say 24-105 f4 and a 35mm 14(18f) is more versatile Comment from : Lokalize Media |
I grabbed the tamron 28-75 g2 to go along with my Sony a7riv I'm stuck between getting a 35mm or a 50mm for a prime lens I think I'm leaning more towards 35mm but ill keep doing more research Comment from : Jair Amado |
I also have a sigma 70-300mm apo etc…with macro between 200-300mm I love it too Comment from : poocky100 |

Title should be for Videographer, youtube or filmaker Comment from : J L |
Love seeing the tamron appreciation! I shoot on nikon and tamron lenses are just some of the best for the price I mainly use a 50 f18 for video and a 24-70 f28 G2 that is just incredible for both photo and video, although i see your point about the 28-75 being smaller, my 24-70 is built like a tank! Comment from : Nrt320 |
Thank you for this Video 🎉 I would like to make Reel Videos in Vertikal Format Which lense would be better? Thank you very much Comment from : Mariya Lazareva |
Totally agree I've used the Tamron 28-75 for some years and it so great! Also just got the same Sony 18 35mm and I'm already happy with it I think I will be using it more than the 50mm (the cheap Sony 18 which I'm not a fan of) Comment from : Ignited Productions |
I just picked up a ZV-E10 to replace my gopro 11 for videos and my absolutely ancient Canon T2i for photos and ended up getting the Sony 15mm f14 lens to start with mainly because I do more low light video than photos and it's almost always on a tripod at band performances needing a wide angle to capture the whole stagebrbrFor the zoom though, I'm torn on what lens to get I've read nothing but great things about the Sigma 18-50 f28 lens and it's smaller size definitely is appealing vs the competing TamronbrbrMy question though is that if I eventually may upgrade to a full frame camera later on, would I be better of spending 2x as much on the Sigma 24-70 f28 now or just getting the 18-50 and cross that full frame lens bridge when/if I get to it?brbrWould there be any actual drawbacks to using the 24-70 lens on the APS-C camera?brbrFor context, I don't make money with my cameras It's purely a hobby but I'm also not opposed to "buying up" and having something nice rather than going a cheaper route and finding out that I don't want to deal with the budget item's compromises vs the more expensive option Comment from : FastRedPonyCar |
I will give anything to learn your colour grading style! So soft and colourful! Comment from : OUAT Charity Tv |

24-70 + 50 here it's what i started on and its what i ended up with tried all sorts over the years but these are the two that cover pretty much all i need biggest regret was buying the canon 85 12, whilst nice at portrait sessions, that was all it was good for, slow/controlled portrait sessions the 135 f2 was probably the best lens for the money i ever bought Comment from : WizardOfCheese |
What would be best for APS-C 35mm or 50mm?? F18 Comment from : of Lahore |

I roll with only the 35mm f18 It covers basically everything for me from street photography, landscapes, and portraits and is the perfect lens for a vast array of shooting video I got so tired of lugging a ton of gear around with me all the time, so I sold everything but my Sony 35mm f18 If I need something different for a specific thing, I just rent it on Saturday and return it on Monday Still have all the fixings for a studio environment at home but for going out and shooting I take my A7IV with 35 attached, two extra batteries, a small extendable desktop tripod made by Ulanzi, and the Rode Videomic Go II It all fits comfortably in my Osprey Daylite Sling No more giant 50lb backpack Comment from : Eric Hollaway |
Please tell me best budget lens for sony fx30 camera for making feature film for theater sir ? Comment from : Rajesh Choubey |
If you are really on a budget, you should buy an APS-C camera (or better an BMPCC6K) with a Tamron 18-400mm With this "one lens setup" and a little talent, you can create films IMHO that no one can distinguish from pro lenses 😉brOr get "my" personal holy trinity for movies and photos: Canon 10-18mm f/45-56 IS STM, Sigma 18-35mm f/18 DC HSM ART and Sigma 24-105mm f/4 DG OS HSM ART mounted on a Canon R7 or BMPCC 6K Comment from : Roman TG Haussener |
Constructive feedback here, and thus is crazy because the microphone is nowhere to be seen but the sibilance is crazy Too much eq in the highs I guesx Comment from : Luis Arce |
I’ve been shooting since 2005, and I’ve switched systems completely four times That means I’m in the process of buying and selling everything for the fourth time And this is the third time I’ve reached the same conclusion as in this video brbrMain gear: brSony A7CbrSamyang 35/18 (this is my EDC)brSigma 28-70/28brbrNovelties: brSamyang 18/28 (got it really cheap 2nd hand, use it solely for selfie and gimbal use)brHelios 44-2 (Vintage USSR-lense, swirly bokeh and flare monster, works manually with an adapter) brNikkor 85/14 (I got it cheap for my now retired Nikon, it became my all time fav and haven’t been able to sell it Now in manual use with an adapter) brbr…and it needs to stop here Comment from : kilobitti |
false, you need telezoom and zoom with 28 (24-75) and one prime (50mm 18) Comment from : Wayment |
I use a 24-70, 70-200 and a 50mm prime My needs are different to yours of course, and weight doesn't bother me, but i also use a RZ67 for street photography Comment from : Light Leeks |
So why keep 35mm if Tamron 28-75 covers that focal length? Comment from : Roman Perfilyev |
Yup, agreed 90 of everything I want to photograpph I can do with one slightly wider and one slightly longer lens Personally I like primes more and basically the start and end focal lengths of your zoom would be my two primes Something around 28 and something around 70 The other option I really like is three primes, one around 20mm, one 35 to 40 -ish and again something around 70-80 Comment from : Christian Nönken |
16-35 f28 and 50 f18 gets it done for me Comment from : Yasin Ali |
Man either of these lenses is more than the entire budget of my movie which makes me sad as a hobbyist Comment from : Rainbow Rambo |
Needed a good zoom lens for my fx30, only have the one 15mm Sony G-lens good call! Comment from : Wes Briggs |
If I had two lenses similar to those, but we are talking about old Minolta MD lenses, adapted to E-mount, is it worth it? Or will it be a good purchase a new model with AF? Comment from : Diego Hoyos González |
Hi bro❤❤❤ Comment from : MSO Malakand |
yes I agree with you Comment from : Cookups |
I was addicted to photography since the film SLR days and I amassed lots of bodies, lenses, and other photographic equipment hoping to cover all photography situations over the years I'm in my mid-seventies lucky to have reached the digital era that practically revolutionized photography from the way how you can preview before you press the shutter up to how darkroom photo processing was replaced with photo editing apps in PCs and Macs Now, I'm content to be using only my iPhone and Sony RX100 for photography Comment from : Butch Go |
This is so coincidental as I just sold all of my lenses and now only have two A Zeiss Milvus 85mm f/14 and a Zeiss Milvus 50mm f/14 Comment from : Mick Lexington |

Did you use those lenses to shoot the video? Would love to know what gear you used including the body Your videos look amazing! Comment from : Matthew Mellen |
The Sony 35mm 18 has way too much vignetting and it doesn't go down quick enough when closing the aperture Also it has a lot of fringing Other than that yes it's very sharp Comment from : My Youtube Account |
I’m a prime guy with manual focus only A 28mm f12, 50mm f095 and an 85mm f12 suits me greatly, each focal length has a job and are blisteringly fast and have character to match Comment from : Robbie Tao |

What’s the best lens for radio? Comment from : whotube |
Do you need an adapter or does it fit all the sony ax cameras? Comment from : Thea |
Is it me or is no one really talking about Rokinon anymore? I feel like they were the budget king back in 2016 especially for wide or ultra wide primes Their older full manual lenses are SUPER cheap and can be modded for step-less aperture Comment from : dkd123 |
best combo for e-mount would be the tamron 17-28 f28 and 35-150 f2-28 Half the price of a 24-70 and 70-200 g master Comment from : wmosleycr7 |
wait what? You are trippin Why are you going to recommend a 28-75mm and a 35mm 😂🤨 35mm is already within the range of the zoom Just that fact alone isn't budget friendly You're telling people who are on a budget to waste their money on redundancy If you're going to make a bold statement about only needing 2 lenses It should be two zooms, between 12-24mm, 24-70mm, or 70-200mm Those cover the essential focal lengths From there they can decide which 2 lenses they'll need for their shooting style If you were to choose a combo of zoom and prime, it still wouldn't be a 35mm 😂 Peoples money would be better spent on a prim outside of the 28-75mm focal length Maaan, this dude really getting people to waste their money I cant sport that idk what other advice he has but I'd take it with a grain of salt 🙅🏽♂ Comment from : Obryn |
I love the iFootage, too! Comment from : GregorPQ |
I agree with this I carry two cameras one with a Tamron 28-200 and the other with a Sigma 35 But recently I've been using the Tamron 20-40mm Comment from : Arkayy |

Well, this makes me happy I recently upgraded from A77 to A7IV, would have sucked buying new 6 lenses Well, still can use an adapter for the ones I've from Minolta 😂 Comment from : Michael Kunz |
Very informative Thank you! Comment from : Saviour Udo |
For two lenses, I would use my Sigma 24-70mm, and for my one prime, the Sigma 85mm f14 on my Sony A7riii Comment from : Martin |
I'm a beginner just using any spare lenses I've found from my brother's old camera, so I have a Canon EFS 18-55mm 35f-56f that came with my rebel T7, a Sigma 28mm-70mm 28f-4f and a canon 75-300mm 40f-56f I just say it's quite nice to have anywhere from 18-300mm within my arsenal but I've found that the 28-70 sigma is the one that really shines at both landscape and portrait because of the 28f aperture Comment from : MyMrMelon |
