Just something I noticed You should try to put any material that has any blemishes towards the back where people and the weather can't see them I noticed your first rafter has a major blemish running almost a third of the way up it Just something we always tried to do when I was roofingbrWe always chose the best straightest stick of timber for our first rafter Build was lookeed pretty good and I really liked those brackets I actually found this video looking for ideas for a house I am planning on building this year Comment from : Backyard Russia |

How did you attach it to the existing home? I didn't see where you mentioned that There isn't a ledger board Comment from : Jon Gamble |
This isn't really a "how-to" video It's more of a progress of what they did and provides no actual information on what material they used, measurements, etc I'm not hating, I'm just saying it's title is wrong Comment from : Charles D |

This house really needed something on that side this patio is a perfect way to make the house look better and bigger in a classy way Add on patios in the back of the house are a good place to put solar panels if you want them That way they are lower than the roof and not seen from the street or front of the house If I extend my patio I would like to add solar and wire it to battery storage in the garage Comment from : Frank Coffey |

hi I'm a regular guy thinking I might learn something You never showed me how to set the vertical beams into the cement Thanks for nothing now I have four holes in my yard with buckets over them you guys SUCK Comment from : Smokey 47 |
As soon as you said telehandler I thought that grass is getting seriously messed up Nice deep furrows I also didn't understand why you didn't build the brick pillars as actual concrete filled pillars with the wooden posts attached to the top rather than running through I guess it's unlikely to be a problem in the future, just seemed an odd way to do it While I'm not a fan of the metal brackets, plenty of people prefer them and the finished project does look good Comment from : jayndubya |
Great job, I'm not going to ask you these stupid questions, like did you get the brackets engineered that's got to be the dumbest thing I've read Comment from : Les Wayne |

Finished product definitely looks amazing good job Did you have to have those massive brackets checked by an engineer first? And small detail but you may want to keep a few pieces of plywood to put down on the grass looks like the homeowner is going to have to get landscapers to fix those divots Comment from : Jason Thomas |
All good, except, one thing I saw wrong!, When you had that forklift on the grass that grass should have been protected with plywood or something, the ruts in the ground are inexcusable, your supposed to be pro,s Comment from : Bernie Bass |

Putting wood into concrete? Not the smartest idea it will rod away Also the first row on the aframe seems broken Also the distance from the patio to the house seems to low moving of the patio might damage the house Comment from : adgsdg |
