I JUST ordered my first kilo coin and it's also a Britannia, except I think it has King Charles as the face Super stoked to get it! I'm right there with you - it's more a "pure fun" piece than an "investment," but it could luck out down the road as a collectible Comment from : Thinking Out Loud |
Do we know what the final mintage is? Thanks Comment from : Amarpreet Singh |
Beautiful coin And worth every penny Comment from : Damian Baker |
An incredible work of art indeed! Comment from : Don Christians |
Great vid! The premium on this(I actually got the King Charles III version) killed me as well but I had to have one It's just too pretty and historic It arrives next week I also find it funny that APMEX here in the states was trying to charge $180000 + tax I bought mine from The Royal Mint for only(still expensive of course) for $102000 all in w/free shipping A substantial savings! So with this and a couple of other coins my stacking journey is now completefinally :) Comment from : Maverick Watch Reviews |
Absolutely Majestic Beautiful Coin indeed Comment from : Italrish |

I have seen for sale a three piece QE II solid silver tea set for sale at about the same price as the coin per gram, over spot, but you are buying it because you like it, and it’s a piece or pieces to be admired Comment from : B Bear |
the royal mint has a real problem with milk spotting it seems on all their silver Britannia coins Comment from : K H |
gorgeous coin, I totally get why you bought it, very nice Comment from : Rodney Steele |
So beautiful I think every stack should have at least one Kilo coin I have a 2010 Lunar series Kilo Tiger Comment from : Lobo Plateado Stacker |

Comment from : Karma Scotland |
It’s very nice but how will it be of any value You can’t take to a bank for cash value Pawn shops will take it for less than spot value will be a lost of money Comment from : Jesse Orozco |
I buy 2nd hand Britannias, because they always come from the mint with scratches on the cheek anyway Comment from : John Smith |
Absolutely stunning!!!!!!👏 Comment from : Metalhead Adventures |
That's an awesome coin I bought a Cook Islands kilo coin earlier this year and I love it Comment from : Ray |
I have been stacking and I heard hold your moneywait to see what happens with paper trades Comment from : Patricia A Riley |
I think almost all Kilo coins are stunning just because of their sheer size in relation to other normal coinsbrIt would be nice to have one of these, but I just can't justify buying at that price! The tax spoils everything in the UK Comment from : Liber 8 |
I have been so tempted to get a Completer coin and now with the 1kg britannia I don't know which way to go Suggestions? Comment from : Phil Toker |
🥰 Comment from : 아로아리 |
a kilo reminds me of what I was going in the last 70's to early 80's with bringing products into the US across the southern border Comment from : David Gallimore |
I understand exactly why you bought a 1 kilo coin I purchased the 2020 1 kilo sitting bull silver coin from Samoa The mintage is a low 199 coins and to me it's more of a piece of art than it is a coin I doubt I'll ever get my money back out of it but I knew that when I purchased it The fine detailed art work was worth it If you've never seen this coin up close you should go take a look at The Coin Shoppe Comment from : Rising Moon |
lovely piece of metal congratulations Comment from : BaZm |
I’ve got this coin, lovely piece Comment from : George Dobson |
I ordered one this morning for delivery here in the US The order says free shipping and no VAT $973 USD total That’s about the same price per once for a 1oz BritanniabrCurious how long it will take to get here Can’t wait! Comment from : Rick |
The superb design really comes out to play when seen on such a scale brbrFabulous 👌 ❤️ Comment from : Ralph |
Nice purchase I would love to own at least one kilo round A nice caveat to your purchase makes it the last year of the Queen’s portrait so that certainly won’t hurt You did well Comment from : Toccoa Coin Shop |
It's not like you're going to make a profit on it but a piece of silver beauty is worth buying even just to look at Comment from : Jonathon Hamilton |
Gorgeous!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Comment from : Silber47 |
A stunner for sure Whenever I do end up picking a silver of kilo up, I'll be going for the cheapest option, but damn do I want this beautiful coin Fantastic pickup imo The Queens beast is incredible and intricate as well Comment from : BalloonFight |
you've sold me Just purchased 1kg because of your video Comment from : Ewan Parks |
Gold version is the better buy but have to say against the completer it does look good 👍 Comment from : Ian Bird |
Over an 8 rally in price just I only just started my silver collection last week I bought 50 1oz Britannia's and a few oz's of scrap silver to begin with Comment from : Jet Lou |
Now that's cool But 1000 pounds (even with VAT) This is not like a Perth Mint Kilo Coin, which is far more reasonably priced Comment from : dleetr |
I ordered this 4 weeks ago from royal mint still not come Spoke to them there system is rubbish and I was told they would push my order through and still nothing! brI want my coin Comment from : Dave Atkin |
OMG when the 2nd kilo is brought in Comment from : Jesse Dawg |
nice but tbh that's it, I get why you like it but not for me Comment from : Mark Fairfield |
I feel sorry for you 1000 pounds for a 1kg coin! We have the Perth Mint just down the road that does kg coins for around $150 AUD over spot silver price Comment from : Geraldton Mint |
Why would you buy something like that Will you keep it forever or pass it on when you depart It makes me wonder that your family has developed appreciation of your hobby Sorry , I just don't get it Comment from : john crace |
I have a few Perth mint 1kg coins I like them alot Who cares what others think if you like it , get it Comment from : Johnny Kay |
Looks great! Comment from : Mikko |
I love this beautiful coin! Please more Comment from : Jesse Dawg |
If you think that's good I've got a 2 kg coin ,,you would not like it to drop on your foot 🦶 over £1000 pound for a coin worth today Nov 4 ,£580 in silver 🥴 if it's from the mint I am surprised it's not full of milk spots ,,they are notorious for them 🤔 Comment from : Shaun Corless |
I got one when it was first released It's a beauty, and it is an important piece in my Britannia collection There are other pieces I'm still seeking out while waiting for the right price and condition, but this was an easy trigger-pull for me And yes, first thing I did after examining it was to pull off the capsule and give it a blow with the lens cleaner, tons of dust/fabric shards on it, looked horrible before I blew it off I'm very curious what the final mintage count is going to be on these Comment from : Greg |
If you like it, and you can afford it, it doesn't matter 😀 I think the investment will pay off eventually on both Comment from : bushcrafty |
Aren't you worried about milk spotting ? Comment from : crystal sheep |
1000 pounds that's alot Comment from : crystal sheep |
Cool kid here , really love this coin, but out my price range I'm afraid Comment from : ian booth |
Beautiful coins! No way I could ever have these but so interesting to see! Two very different coins, lovely Brittania! But I agree, that Queen's Beasts completer coin is incredible!! Comment from : Yvain Walker |
I refuse to buy anything larger than 10oz because of the US 1099-b report requirements Comment from : Pumpkin King XXIII |
I collect mostly 10oz and 1 kilo coins I have quite a few 1 kilos including the completer (my favourite piece) and I so desperately wanted the 1kilo Britannia It's an absolutely stunning coin However, I just can't pay the price for it I usually pay between £720 - £840 for my kilos, and the cheapest I could find this one for was just shy of £1000 As much as I love it and want it, I can't justify that price and will have to sadly go without it which breaks my heart 😢brbrEDIT: I posted this comment halfway through the video before I got to the bit near the end saying you didn't want people moaning about the price in the comments sorry 🤣 Comment from : Jamie Thornton |
This is why I prefer 5oz 10oz and Kilo coins, You get to admire all the detail 😍😍😍 Comment from : SESARS SAUCE |
That scuffing on the cheek would be a deal breaker for me Usually larger encapsulated RM bullion coins are quite perfect How does the Perth mint make their coins so beautifully, where the RCM and RM smaller coins are consistently flawed? Comment from : MétéoMan |

Yay I'm in the cool kids club 😎 Comment from : Jeremiah |
Ordinarily I would never buy a 1kg coin as the premiums are too high; BUT I think you just changed my mind with this one coin brThank you for sharing mate Comment from : Crystal Cars Detailing |
What a lovely looking Britannia the sheer size alone, i can find many reasons for me to buy this 1kg Brit, have been struggling to not buy for weeks, well hopefully i have up to the 31/12 to decide, thanks for sharing Comment from : Smith S |
I’ve purchased 2 one once in Silver, looking for the Kilo in Silver and one once gold Comment from : Vincent DiPaola |
if there are no milk spots, it’s not a BRITANNIA! It’s a safety feature included for free , for stackers!!! Comment from : Franco del Rio |
I would love to see what it would grade out at and see how big the holder would be Comment from : 🐲 My Kitten Is A Grand Master 🐉 |
That's a beautiful coin Comment from : 🐲 My Kitten Is A Grand Master 🐉 |
Should I get into stacking silver if I'm not a good negotiator? My concern is if the time ever comes to sell my silver, being able to bargain and get a good price from local coin shops I'm a bit of a pushover, have social anxiety, and don't like confrontation or haggling lol I guess worst case I should always be able to get spot, right? Problem is that even silver rounds seem to be selling for 30 over spot right now So prices have to go up 30 just for me to break even Comment from : Yarcofin |
This is truly wonderful byb you have me checking the bank and stocks and credit cards to work out if I can get one Haha I do wish you'd tone it down with the stone cold sober debt free first advice and let us enjoy the innate human instinct for precious metals in their desirable glory a bit moreyou're absolutely logical rational and correct of course but since when have these 3 things applied to human beings Glorious coin Wonderful channel and great content , thankyou Comment from : Mark Carrigher |
I suffer from guitar acquisition syndrome and have noticed the same with coins I just want everyone I see Do I need help? Comment from : fenixfp40 |
I understand your position on this I usually try to find silver at spot or less on the secondary market just to be safe I see the VAT as a risk Once in a while though, I spend significantly over spot just because I find something beautiful, usually silver antiques Sometimes you don't mind paying a little extra for a beautiful piece 🙂 Comment from : Strahssis |
Is the queen's beast 1 kg available anymore Comment from : MasterMariner |
In the USA, I have a Perth mint Koala and Kookaburra Kilo coins I haven't seen the Britannia available here I'd love to get one Comment from : Fran Tech |
