I have 11 Spypoint cameras, and they have always supported their product for me When I have an issue I chat with them on their website and the problem is handled every time The warranty is fantastic Comment from : @user-xd3wh6rm9f |
Great video Does any of these run off a 12v battery? I have a Spypoint and could run it all season from a 12v battery hookup Comment from : @ESnell-ju7hp |
Great review I haven't seen someone go into such detail showing the different types of pics and videos Thanks! Comment from : @user-qx8jn2ou1q |
The 2 most important features in my opinion is knowing if a camera is low glow or no glow flash (840 nm vs 940nm) bc deer can see IR light Also I’m waiting for a company to stamp every pic with the wind direction That would be very valuable information to have attached to every pic I don’t really care about moon phase or temperature Comment from : @tonysorcinelli |
Spypoint cameras are pure shit!!!! Support is terrible! Comment from : @nowayhunting |
I have had two spypoint cams one micro and flex…both died less than two years! Longevity is definitely an issue Comment from : @fike301 |
spypoint customer service does not exsist left the building Comment from : @user-us4dm6qp2i |
Is the tactacam python cable compatible? Comment from : @MakingNoise45 |
Do you have problems with pictures uploading late with the moultrie? Comment from : @loriemayantiqueno1371 |
i was going to get the edge, but the card deal changed my mind i have a spypoint and they are junk i am going to check out the reveal more, but for now that is my pick thanks for the reviews, you helped me a lot Comment from : @nowayhunting |
Still trash customer service is even worst All of the sudden during hunting season and non of my cameras work they are SPYPOINT working 1 of them is 2 weeks old the flex s out of control I think they manufacture problems during hunting season to make you buy more product unbelievable take 2 hours to get a customer service rep on the phone Needless to say this is why I’m looking at the Video Comment from : @BLCKSTAR95 |
I have the tactacam gen 2o and I just got the moultrie mobile edge and that edge is pretty nice Love the vid!!! Comment from : @dylanrachiele-pn3dk |
I’m pretty suprised by the positive Spypoint reviews I bought 3-4 micro links just to try them out a few years ago and they were the worst cameras I’ve ever used Looks like they have came a long way with the flex Might have to pick up a few Comment from : @arkedin2759 |
I have trouble with my cameras draining batteries Any tips or better camera alternatives Comment from : @jacksonraney3432 |
It would be nice of you to start by pointing out this concerns the US and possibly Canadian market specifically (still less than 5 of the global population) Not everybody can get this from your accent alone Otherwise, a very useful overview, even if I'm interested in them for property control And, btw, I would also mention that all three of those brands are North American and hence are likely to host their services (read: +-all of the stuff your camera sends) in there, instead of China, as some other well known Chinese brands do Comment from : @uncutfishing |
How long is the battery life on the Reveal X Pro? Thre property is far from my house and I have heard mixed reviews on solar options so I am strongly considering the RXP Comment from : @johnc7718 |
surprised black gate cell cameras isnt on here Comment from : @Addicted_To_The_Thump |
Best review ive seen so far Well done I have tactacam spypoints and just ordered 2 moultrie I dont do videos i really should though But the price point for the moultries i just want to see whats in the area as they have the dual connectivity It was either spypoint flex or moultrie and i hate spypoints Comment from : @stephensheldon8396 |
I think I'm going to have to try Tactacam X pro I have 4 different properties I hint besides mine I've used spypoints for years Their entry level cameras have worked great I bought 4 flexs last year and every one of them dies from 1 day to a week I really wanted to like it and stay on the same platform, but cameras don't do any good when they die so quick Comment from : @payakadventures8667 |
Anyone know what he said he put on the grapevine/licking branch? That’s something I’m familiar in my neck of the woods Comment from : @tump1181 |
Seizure racoonslove it!!!! Comment from : @jayminer9416 |
Appreciate the video, just bought two LM2’s, I hunt in northern Michigan and service is spotty at best Is there a camera which you would recommend for low service areas? I don’t need super clear photos but itd be nice to be able to get updates whilst being a couple of hours away Also are the extensions worth the money or are they a money grab? Thank you! Comment from : @stevengrigereit6618 |
Ultra - Comprehensive Review 🎉brI felt that you showed No Bias and gave an “ Engineering - Perspective “ branalysis of these cameras !!!!brExceptional video production and happy I found your channel !!!!br😎🇺🇸👍🏻 Comment from : @brianfeeney9493 |
Moultrie chose internal storage knowing you wouldn't be able to disable your data plan and use it as an offline camera It's more of a headache than a feature, hopefully it doesn't catch on and become the norm Comment from : @TySchmidt |
Thanks for the helpful video! After using non cell cameras for 20 years, Im finally going to try a couple cell cams Much has improved since the first cameras with 35mm film i had Taking a roll of film to walmart to get developed to see 27 pictures of squirrels and grass swaying lol Thanks again! Comment from : @66_ed_Hawkenson |
Can you usie the EIOTCLUB SIM cards in these 3 cameras? Comment from : @iambowhunter2 |
Is Reconyx no longer in the same league, have they been surpassed by cheaper cameras? Nobody seems to review them anymore Comment from : @zfilmmaker |
DO not buy the SPYPOINT they have horrible non english speaking customer support who refuse to send your issue to a higher level support The answer for everything is to change batteries and sd card Comment from : @robd225 |
great trail cam video cheers Comment from : @trailcampete5119 |
Sounds like an advertisement for me👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 Comment from : @ellerybice3787 |
Have Sasquatch activity on your property? Comment from : @monicasmith7050 |
The flex also has GPS Comment from : @fredbartlett4394 |
What Sd card did you for the spypoint flex Thanks Comment from : @bodine46 |
What about a no service area that I hunt? I am 4 hours from where I am going to be hunting and there is absolutely no service at all where I go How do these work with this problem? Comment from : @joeg4372 |
Is that a Tim Meigs compound bow on your wall? Comment from : @joeg4372 |
Personally, I like the Moultrie not having an SD card You don't have to worry about other people potentially stealing and gaining intel from your camera It can essentially be made a brick as soon as someone takes it Comment from : @frankpysz121 |
They are all great cameras but if anyone runs multiple cameras like I do the SpyPoint is the way to go I run 15 to 20 cameras a year and I pay only $99 for all of them Only downside is you only get 250 photos a month but works great for me I don't have high traffic areas where I run mine Comment from : @randydunmire |
Can the spypoint be turned off and on remotely Plan to use it only in daytime Comment from : @gregpetrick3115 |
what are these field of view Comment from : @masterwulfe5537 |
Nice review! I "upgraded" 2 SpyPoint Link Micros & found a few things to note The field of view is quite a bit wider in the Flex where the Link Micro is more "zoomed-in"brThe Flex consumes batteries way quicker, even with the LIT-22 rechargeable The video quality is not that great, but the pics, especially the preview pics are of a higher resolutionbrAs mentioned most folks will need an external directional antenna as that helps save battery life, besides giving a higher quality reliable signalbrSpyPoint has no way to limit the amount of daily pictures taken, either by an option to shut the motion sensor off or software limiting the daily amountbrYou can turn the cellular modem off, but that's with a risk of it not coming back online until a power cycle Their cameras are very stingy on software featuresbrMost of these trail cameras will be mounted on a tree with trees & branches around them & wind blowing more often than not 🙂 Comment from : @sw-s1730 |
Has anyone used any of these cameras to Mount around your house to catch license plate numbers for suspicious cars around your neighborhood Comment from : @chriss3800 |
Thanks for the reviews I own 4 spy points The reason I went with them is each has external power ports I have all attached to a self-contained panel/battery pack Now power is never an issue Another reason is the detachable antennas In my area of the woods here in N/W Louisiana cell service is poor at best The stock camera antennas simply won't cut it I use high-gain directional yagi antennas on each camera That was a total game-changer Now the signal is never below 90 Yeah, it takes a little tweaking to fine-tune the direction you need Once dialed in, You are good to geauxbrCheers from Louisiana Comment from : @radioace318la |
Great reviews great products thank for sharing! Comment from : @michaeltubbs2493 |
Spy point flex 100 the best I ever had Comment from : @joeetling2226 |
Recent studies showed that the trail camera noise was the key deterrent to mature bucks and not the flash brYou’re wrong there are several trail cameras made in the USA And I think we should support them and American jobs instead of promoting cheaper cameras made by communist China Comment from : @stanleybuck4195 |
Which cameras are made in the USA? Comment from : @stanleybuck4195 |
What about camera noise? When taking pictures and videos? Comment from : @stanleybuck4195 |
Do any of these have the ability to provide live feed, pic or video, at any time requested if I am not close by the camera? And do I get notified right away as soon as it pics up motion? I’m looking for something to add to the entrance of my place and would like the ability to check throughout the day Comment from : @impavidtrucklines2342 |
The blue light of death on the SPYPOINT flex needs to be addressed Comment from : @kermitr4845 |
I’m new to trail cams and I was wondering if all cell cams need a payment plan to hook to your phone? Asking because I’m a cheapskate 😊 Comment from : @nightrider5420 |
Good video good information 👍 Comment from : @bkbowhunter1 |
Great review! The new Stealth cams will have an on demand feature, maybe you can include one next time Comment from : @dennisb1224 |
Useful video brbrAlso forgot to mention the Insider program for SPYPOINT For $99 a year you get 250 photos per camera For any number of cameras! So you could have 10 cameras and pay $100 With Moultrie, 10 cameras would be $1200 a year and no way to avoid that as you can’t get your photos off without a paid plan brbrWith SPYPOINT, you can stop paying and still get 100 photos a month, which while very little, it doesn’t false that much so it’s still useful Comment from : @rsilvers129 |
Good to hear from a Michigan hunter I’m just north of Lansing I started using two X Pros last fall Great camera Did you know that your friends can see your photos if you let them They just need to download the app Comment from : @myronhornby1859 |
Couple of questions for you First of all, what are all of the things you would recommend for a mock scrape because mine never seem to really take offbrbrSecond, where are you hunting in Michigan because I rarely see bucks like those I assume with being an ohio hunter that you are southern Michigan focused?brbrGreat video and thanks for the advice on the scrape!
