My favorite thing about the Mossberg 500 is watching someone short stroke it while trying to keep up with an M4brThere's documented cases of them going 25K+ rounds without having to replace any parts Self cleaning pistons, soft recoil, runs everything from low recoil birdshot to 3'' magnum slugs, etc As long as tube fed shotguns are still relevant, the M4/M1014 will be at the top

Honestly my m4 doesn’t hold a candle to my 1301 from the ergonomics to the gas system it’s just so much easier for me to run, not saying the m4 isn’t a good shotgun but I do feel it gets to much hype due to Hollywood etc also just cuz the military uses it doesn’t make it the bees knees🤷🏻‍♂️

I have had my Mossberg 500 for almost 30 years Was my 13th birthday gift from my father It is my favorite firearm I own and most likely always will be I have shot thousands upon thousands of thousands of rounds out of it and maybe cleaned it 5 times the whole time I have owned it lol The thing is a tank The reliability of the 500 is legendary Was my first deer hunting gun and is now my go to home defense gun Does anything and everything I have ever needed it too And every time I shoot it, it reminds me of all the great times I had with my dad growing up Would recommend to anyone
