A Financial Planner told me Saving at least 15 of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably How can one take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings/net-worth to about $3M over time? Comment from : colleen Odegaard |

Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs Retirement choices determine a lot of things My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k We both still earning after our retirement Comment from : Giller Heston |

Retiring in 20 years? Due to inflation, you may need upward of $36million to maintain your existing lifestyle, with the ongoing effect of high inflation, lower forecasted stock market returns or value, and stagnant wages Achieving a secure early retirement could be more challenging than ever before Comment from : Andy Marion |

I’ve got four traditional brokerage accounts One earmarked for retirement with growth funds, one for medium term goals (think new car or house) with growth funds, one for swing trading, and one for shareholder perks (cruise line stocks so I get my on board credit) I was lucky to come across the ads of a company called "ferrochrome securities" They organised my wrecked finances and made me set priorities Cumulative now I'd say I've grown over 220k with their help and still growing Next goal now is owning my first rental property The journey becomes exciting once you start My advice is to anyone who thinks they're too old is to start today, right now It's never too late trust me Comment from : B |

I didn’t see a consideration of a home that was paid off or will be paid off at retirement Not having a mortgage at retirement is a HUGE deal Better yet, sell that big home you don’t need and move into a condo Win win, lower taxes, no mortgage and a large chunk to throw towards that retirement goal Mix that with a strong target index fund and social security you can do itZ Comment from : Trojans |

biI just turned 60, was planning to Retire Soon with a FORD? BooM the Economy Crashes into Recession and High Inflation! I guess I will keep working another yr or 2?/i/b Comment from : Sarah Lazare |

I realized things in America were worsening for retirees 5 years ago, so I started my "Escape to The Philippines Plan"; I was 60, with only $25,000 in savings and I had debt when I started I'll
brbe 66 when I retire in The Philippines 4/2024, and I'll have $220,000 in savings, $1,800 in Social Security $850 in monthly interest income, $1,500 monthly from 50 hrs of part time work for
bra US company and NO DEBT I can live VERY well in The Philippines for under $2,000 monthly, and this includes a "top tier" health plan at the best hospitals there I'll be able to SAVE $30,000
bryearly and live without fear of "running out of money" before I die, as the WAY LOWER cost of living and good healthcare (a fraction of The US) in the Philippines makes this a nice reality I
brrecommend others give this "plan" some thought, and there are other places in The World with similar low costs too, but as a retired Veteran I can get a retirement visa for only $1,400 with a
br$10 yearly fee, English is widely spoken in The Philippines, and there are many other benefits and "perks" for retirees there Comment from : CD Morrissy |

We experienced the pinnacle of our era in a flash Just like Rome, the corrupt administration will bring this nation to an end My condolences goes out to those close to retirement and may be worried about pension, surviving the rising cost of living alongside poor regulatory policies Comment from : Joe Caruso |
