Great job! I don't have kids, and I'd still watch every episode! Comment from : michael dey |
Not only is it too much to explain, but it leaves the perfect opportunity for the involved parent or teacher to continue the lesson at a pace and level suitable for the child at hand It's the perfect mix of explanations and open ended tidbits to get the mind wandering and pondering
If my child asked all those questions after watching this, I'd be GLAD :) Comment from : Tom Francis |
Zut Alores I need a button on youtube bigger than like :D :D :D Comment from : DrewministryofManip |

Oh my god you guys, I thought this was an April Fool's joke when I first heard! This HAS to be a thing, never stop! It's very educational, and the style of presentation is adorable :)
My future world-dominating evil genius offspring need to be raised on stuff like this, while they're still too young for Mythbusters :P
(Of course first I need to bust the myth that 'TheBakachan will never find a woman willing to help him improve the genepool' but that's an experiment for another day) Comment from : Bakamoichigei |
My 6 year old and I watched it yesterday, and we both loved it Looking forward to more Thanks! Comment from : Green B |
Captions? All content geared towards kids/education need to be captioned Comment from : Carrie Nichols |
I don't know how he will react yet, but my 4 year old:
a) Does know what a hair dryer is (He has seen mummy use it) I am sure he is not alone
b) Knows what the toaster is and what it does He doesn't know what makes it work However he will have a batter idea of this after watching EP1 I am sure
c) Sure, he doesn't have decimals down yet, but won't be long Easily by the time he is 6, maybe 5
This looks to me like it will be a very good *gentle* intro without being too fact heavy Comment from : Tom Francis |
Mate, it's Episode 1 That's too much to explain to a 4 year old at once Comment from : Tom Francis |
Collin! Comment from : Tomer Ganz |
I cannot wait to use this in my classroom Thanks Comment from : Daniel Bendorf |
May I please portray Tesla when you get to that subject message? I have dark hair and a pointy nose Comment from : druidmechanics |
I really like the idea of this If only I had something like this to watch when I was a kid Acting and sound production could use polishing, though I guess that'll get better in time Comment from : Nebojša Arežina |
Personal request: less flashing light at the beginning but this is Awesome more please Comment from : Crosbys Corner |
Pretty cool Comment from : Inchyladas |
I am pretty sure this is NOT a prank, as Lady Ada has been talking about it for a while, and has been genuinely excited about it Just unfortunate release date
As for the episode: Great first episode I am sure lots to learn (some strange audio mix stuff happening)
When teaching young kids, I would suggest a bit slower speech There is a lot of new vocabulary for them to learn So, try to simplify explanations Also, Ladybot's voice needs some tuning to be understood Same with the intro
Comment from : MREinJP |
Meg Griffen? Comment from : 79ninzombie |
Just the fact that you're trying to teach kids/youngsters electronics is worth everything! I do agree with some that perhaps the message would be hard for kids to understand and the youngsters might find the theme a bit childish but nonetheless, this is great and I can see it being dubbed to other languages in the future! Keep up the excellent work :) Comment from : Jens Andree |
LADYADAY U NO HAVE THIS WHEN I WAS A KID
Comment from : Robert Swanson |
HAHAHAHA I wondered what had happened to Collin C haha Comment from : Nathan Seeley |
André-Marie Ampère *cough*Collin Cunningham*cough* Comment from : Blane Parker |
I love this, but please hire a sound guy/gal next time, even if you can only pay with beer The levels are way too high, resulting in distortion, and using only a lavalier mic results in Limor Fried's voice sounding far too husky, a problem known to audio engineers as the proximity effect Comment from : anigbrowl |
Very good!! Keep the good work!! Comment from : Guilherme Utrabo |
I knew there must have been a good reason to bring Collin to Adafruit Voilá I see a lot of potential in here Comment from : RodCastler |
